On July 1st at approximately 13:40 hrs the freeport fire department was alert to a hazmat incident at home depot. Engine 212 was first due and found a chemical spill a mixture of bleach chlorine and vinegar inside the store. an MCI was transmitted the operation was under the command of 2100

Earlier this morning 5/10/26 engine 212 was first due to a car fire on smith st.

This week, members of Vigilant Hose Co. #2 traveled to Indianapolis for FDIC—the largest fire apparatus convention in the country—to showcase our soon-to-arrive new engine.

Our rig committee dedicated countless hours, many away from their families, designing this apparatus to better serve our community.

With its arrival, we will honor and retire our current engine after 28 years of service.

A new chapter is coming—built on tradition and ready to serve. We would like to thank and in helping constructing our new apparatus and with our new design

On 1/31/26 at 16:32 hrs the freeport fire department was alert for a house fire at 36 w woodbine dr.
2103 transmitted the signal 10 and operation was under the command of 2102. Unit 212 was the second due engine and operated lines of first due engine 216.
