31ST MECHANIZED INFANTRY COMPANY EMPOWERS YOUTH THROUGH LEADERSHIP CAMP IN PURA, TARLAC
Pura, Tarlac – 27 May 2026 – The 31st Mechanized Infantry (PERSIAN) Company, 3rd Mechanized Infantry (MAKATARUNGAN) Battalion, Armor Division, Philippine Army, under the leadership of Captain John Larry B. Bumagat, took part in the Children and Youth Leadership (CYL) Camp themed “Kabataang Pura: Partners in Governance, Drivers for Change” held at Brgy. Poblacion 2, Pura, Tarlac from 25–27 May 2026.
Conducted by the Local Government Unit of Pura under the leadership of Hon. John Paul M. Balmores, Municipal Mayor, the activity featured information awareness sessions, leaflet distribution, and area security support. Students were engaged in discussions on alleged CTG recruitment tactics targeting the youth sector, as well as the Philippines’ maritime entitlements in the West Philippine Sea to deepen understanding of national sovereignty and security.
Through meaningful discussions and youth engagement, the Philippine Army underscored the vital role of vigilance, critical thinking, patriotism, and active community involvement in shaping responsible, informed, and empowered young leaders.
The activity reflects the Army’s continuing commitment to strengthening youth awareness, promoting peace and security, and fostering nation-building among the next generation.
