31ST MECHANIZED INFANTRY COMPANY EMPOWERS YOUTH THROUGH LEADERSHIP CAMP IN PURA, TARLAC
Pura, Tarlac – 27 May 2026 – The 31st Mechanized Infantry (PERSIAN) Company, 3rd Mechanized Infantry (MAKATARUNGAN) Battalion, Armor Division, Philippine Army, under the leadership of Captain John Larry B. Bumagat, took part in the Children and Youth Leadership (CYL) Camp themed “Kabataang Pura: Partners in Governance, Drivers for Change” held at Brgy. Poblacion 2, Pura, Tarlac from 25–27 May 2026.

Conducted by the Local Government Unit of Pura under the leadership of Hon. John Paul M. Balmores, Municipal Mayor, the activity featured information awareness sessions, leaflet distribution, and area security support. Students were engaged in discussions on alleged CTG recruitment tactics targeting the youth sector, as well as the Philippines’ maritime entitlements in the West Philippine Sea to deepen understanding of national sovereignty and security.

Through meaningful discussions and youth engagement, the Philippine Army underscored the vital role of vigilance, critical thinking, patriotism, and active community involvement in shaping responsible, informed, and empowered young leaders.

The activity reflects the Army’s continuing commitment to strengthening youth awareness, promoting peace and security, and fostering nation-building among the next generation.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGRAM BENEFITS IP FAMILIES IN BAMBAN, TARLAC

Bamban, Tarlac – 01 May 2026 – A Community Outreach Program for the Indigenous Peoples (IP) community was successfully conducted during the celebration of Labor Day at Sitio Buok, Barangay Sto. Niño, bringing much-needed assistance and support to local families.

The activity was organized by the San Isidro de Labrador Parish Young Achiever Choir, led by Parish Youth Leader Ms. Wendy Doll Arocena. The program featured a feeding activity, distribution of food packs and pre-loved clothing, as well as parlor games that brought joy and engagement to the children.

A Community Outreach Program was successfully conducted on April 25–26, 2026 at Sitio Pisapungan, Barangay Sta. Juliana, Capas, Tarlac, for the Indigenous Peoples (IP) community.

The activity was organized by the CDP Group of QSR and Dizon Group of Companies in partnership with Victorian Mula sa Puso and PDRRMO Tarlac, carrying the theme “United in Joy, Reaching Every Heart.”

The program included gift-giving, distribution of hygiene kits, used clothes, and school supplies, along with parlor games and skills seminars on basket making and crochet. It was spearheaded by Ms. Rosalie Tanguanco, Managing Director of Dizon Group of Companies, together with Mr. Gerald Fontanoza of Victorian Mula sa Puso Association, Inc., The initiative aimed to strengthen collaboration among stakeholders while promoting unity, compassion, and community support for the IP sector.

The unit would also like to express its gratitude to the following:

Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) of Tarlac for providing mobility assistance.

The Tambayan Agriculture Cooperative for its active participation and dedication on learning new skills and acquiring new knowledge.

The unit also acknowledges the 790th Air Base Group for providing access clearance to pass through en route to Sitio Pisapungan.

3rd Mechanized Infantry Battalion Holds Community Assistance Program for IP Residents in Capas, Tarlac.

The 3rd Mechanized Infantry Battalion successfully carried out a community outreach program for the Indigenous Peoples (IP) community of Sitio Pillien, Barangay Sta. Juliana, Capas, Tarlac, on 15 April 2026.

The initiative was led by troops of the 3rd Mechanized Infantry Battalion, Armor Division, Philippine Army. The event was made possible through the generous support and cooperation of Ka Agape Foundation, headed by its President, Ms. Cecille T. Tolentino, and VYAN Resort, represented by its owner, Ms. Verna Kuo.

The program featured a feeding activity and the distribution of food packs, dental hygiene kits, toys, pre-loved clothing, and medicines. Around 150 IP families and 100 children received assistance during the activity. In addition, the activity promoted environmental awareness by encouraging cleanliness, health, and sustainability within the community.

This joint activity demonstrates the strong partnership between the military and private organizations, showcasing the Filipino value of bayanihan or communal unity.
