"Pangalagaan ang Ating mga Anak: Pagtibayin ang Pamilya Laban sa Abuso" 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦🩵

Awareness of Republic Act 7610 or "Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act” is important because it protects children from abuse, exploitation, and discrimination. It helps people recognize and report violations, empowers communities to keep children safe, and ensures that violators are held accountable.

Lectures on these types of topics are important for parents as they raise awareness of their legal responsibilities and help prevent abuse by recognizing its signs and risks. These sessions promote positive, non-violent parenting, empower parents to take action when needed, and guide them in creating a safe, nurturing environment. Eventually, such awareness supports the healthy development and protection of children at home and in the community.

As a part of Information, Education and Communication (IEC) materials distribution of the Crisis Intervention Center for Women Children, the center extend efforts in distributing information to the public as much as possible. These sessions are mostly conducted by the CICWC's Acting Center Head, Ms. Charro B. Muyco, RSW, RPm. These kinds of sessions are more helpful in conveying important matters as it is directly explained with concrete examples and realistic activities to the audience.
