Congratulations, Chief! Very well deserved and well earned. Thank you for your leadership and continued dedication to this department and community.

I was honored to present Chief White with an award at our City Council meeting Tuesday.

The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution Woman In American History Award recognizes women who have made significant contributions to their communities in fields like education, science, politics, or culture.

Chief White was sworn in as the Chief of Police for the Forney Police Department on June 20, 2022. She previously served as the Assistant Chief of Police for the North Richland Hills Police Department and brings extensive experience in law enforcement leadership to the city of Forney.

Not only is Chief White the first woman to lead the Forney Police Department, she serves as the president and founder of Women of Law Enforcement (WOLE). Each year, Women of Law Enforcement hosts its annual conference in Fort Worth, bringing together women in policing from across the country.

We are incredibly proud of Chief White’s hard work and dedication, not only to the City of Forney but to law enforcement nationwide!

Dispatcher Appreciation Week | Forney Police Department

This week, we proudly recognize and celebrate the dedicated dispatchers of the Forney Police Department.

Often referred to as the “first first responders,” our dispatchers are the calm voice in moments of crisis. They work behind the scenes with precision, professionalism, and compassion—coordinating responses, supporting officers in the field, and ensuring our community receives the help it needs.

Their ability to remain composed under pressure and make critical decisions in real time is nothing short of exceptional.

To our Communications team: thank you for your unwavering commitment, your resilience, and the vital role you play in keeping Forney safe. Your work does not go unnoticed.

With this being National Property & Evidence Appreciation Week, we would like to recognize our Property and Evidence Technician, Ericka. Ericka has been with Forney PD since 2024, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to the department. She works to not only collect, but also securely protect all property and evidence, providing an essential service to assist in the successful prosecution of cases and return of property to the rightful owner. If you see her out and about, please give her a compliment for her dedication to the citizens of Forney and the Forney Police Department.
Thank you Ericka for your service!

The Forney Police Officers Association is aware of recent comments made by Joseph Yazdanpanahi regarding our endorsement and the role of our organization in the current election.

Let us be absolutely clear: no City of Forney funds have been used to endorse any candidate. Any claim or insinuation suggesting otherwise is false and undermines the integrity of our city, its employees, and the democratic process.

Mr. Yazdanpanahi has referred to our organization as a “special interest group.” On that point, we agree—with clarification. We are indeed a group with a very specific interest: the safety of our residents our community and the well-being of the police officers who serve them every day. Our members are not outsiders or political operatives—we are the men and women who respond to emergencies, protect families, and uphold the law in this community.

We see firsthand the challenges our city faces, and we speak from experience when we support leadership that prioritizes public safety.

The Forney Police Officers Association strongly and unequivocally endorses:

• Sarah Salgado City Council Seat 4

• Greg Helm for City Council Seat 6

Both candidates have demonstrated a clear commitment to supporting law enforcement, investing in public safety, and leading Forney with integrity and accountability. Their vision aligns with what we know is necessary to keep our community safe as it continues to grow.

These endorsement are made independently, based on careful consideration and direct engagement - as well as voting by FPOA members which insures members are engaged and able to voice support.

We encourage voters to look beyond rhetoric and focus on facts, leadership, and a proven commitment to the safety and future of Forney.
