Question, why can't we limit property tax increases to inflation and why don't renters pay taxes? We did cap unvoted increases to inflation regardless of increases in value and renters do pay property taxes but landlords should show the renters their bills before voting.

Rep. Sarah Fowler Arthur and I presented Ellen Kolman with a State Commendation on her retirement after a lifetime of service to the community. Ellen has most recently taught at the Christian Faith Academy: investing in the leaders of tomorrow in Ashtabula for the past 10 years. She is the reporter though who wrote my first article in 2010, she'll always have a special place in my heart.

The Ohio Legislature is tackling a lot this General Assembly that has been left undone- Unleashing Energy, Higher Education Overhaul, Income Tax Cuts, Property Tax Rework, plus a lot else in addition to what is coming up with Medicaid Fraud Legislation, Data Center Guardrails, Voter ID Protection, and more!

As Ohio, we want you to send less to Columbus and keep more of it in your local community to decide how best to fund the services you actually want instead of relying on big government to send someone else's money to you. That's why we keep cutting state taxes.
