The IRP 21st Battalion bid a ceremonial farewell to ASI Manzoor Ahmad Mir on 31.03.2026 upon his retirement after 38 years of dedicated service.
He was honored by I/C Commandant Sh. Bashir Ahmad, JKPS, along with officers and staff. The battalion expressed gratitude for his exemplary service and wished him a happy retired life.

Honouring Four Decades of Dedication – Farewell to SI Zahoor Din
The IRP 21st Battalion proudly salutes Sub-Inspector Zahoor Din as he retires after an incredible 40 years of service marked by dedication, integrity, and excellence.
From the moment he joined the force, SI Zahoor Din exemplified professionalism and commitment. His guidance, mentorship, and tireless efforts not only strengthened the operational efficiency of the battalion but also inspired generations of colleagues and young officers.
A special farewell ceremony at the IRP-21st Battalion Headquarters celebrated his remarkable journey. Sh. Bashir Ahmad, JKPS Commandant IRP-21st, along with senior officers and fellow personnel, honoured SI Zahoor Din for his invaluable contributions and unwavering devotion to duty.

IRP-21st Bn. bids Farewell to Commandant Sh. Paramjeet Singh (SSP) JKPS on his superannuation.
Parihaspora, 31 January 2026 – The IRP-21st Battalion today held a farewell function at Battalion Hqrs APC Parihaspora for its outgoing Commandant, Sh. Paramjeet Singh (SSP) JKPS, upon his superannuation after distinguished service of 35 years. The event started with introductory speech by Sh. Bashir Ahmad (SP) JKPS Dy. Commandant IRP-21st Bn who highlighted the leadership qualities, professionalism and other service achievements of outgoing officer.
The event was attended by senior Police officers including Sh. Sheikh Junaid Mehmood-IPS, DIG IR Kashmir, SSP APCR Kashmir, Commandants and Dy. Commandants of various Kashmir Based Battalions and other officers/officials of 21st Battalion. While addressing the farewell function DIG IRP Range Kashmir praised and commended the services of the outgoing officer.
In his farewell address, Commandant Sh. Paramjeet Singh (SSP) JKPS thanked the J&K Armed Police force and expressed pride in the battalion's achievements. He was honoured with traditional mementos as a mark of respect from his colleagues and the unit he commanded.

Parihaspora Pattan Baramulla November-25th 2025:-:- As a measure to create green, safe and healthy environment with an objective to promote community-police collaboration IRP-21st Battalion conducted plantation drives at multiple locations in district Baramulla and Bandipora viz Parihaspora Pattan, Check Mantrigam, Ajas Bandipora, Hajin Bandipora under Civic action Programme 2025-26 with enthusiastic participation and involvement of civilians from all walks of life including members of local Panchayats, civil society groups and educational institutions and sizable number of Officers/Officials of IRP-21st Bn in the plantation drives who worked hand in hand to complete the initiative successfully. The objective of this environmental initiative was to strengthen the police public relations, promote greenery and to contribute towards larger sustainable ecological development. This joint effort and plantation drives resulted in plantation of various types of trees and saplings including Apple, Deodar, Neem and pine at all the locations. Refreshment was served to all participants.

Parihaspora Pattan Baramulla November-17 2025:- Jammu and Kashmir Armed Police, IRP-21st Battalion, organized “Run for Unity” event at Parihaspora Pattan under Civic Action Programme 2025-26 with an objective to strengthen the bound between Police and Public, promote community harmony and to provide a platform for friendly competition, physical fitness and camaraderie among the youth. “Run for Unity Event” with theme “United in Motion, One Step, One Community”. Enthusiastic Students (participants) representing Hr. Secondary School and Govt. High Schools viz HSS Mirgund, High School Chanabal Singhpora, High School Diver Singhpora and High School Singhpora from Education Zone Singhpora Patten participated in two categories i.e Boys and Girls. The event started at 11:30 Hours from SSM College turn via road leading to SSM College of Education towards City of Stones (Kan Shaher).
Sh. Paramjeet Singh, SSP, JKPS Commandant of IRP-21st Bn and Sh. Gh Hassan ZEO Singhpora Pattan, while speaking during closing ceremony commended the participating students for their energy and sportsmanship and emphasized the role of sports in building character and strengthening the bond between the police and the community. They also highlighted the importance of events like these for developing a civic sense, community harmony and curbing drug menace. T-Shirts and Caps were distributed among all participants besides, Medals, certificates and other prizes were presented to 1st, 2nd and 3rd position holders in both categories. Mementos were also presented to ZEO Singhpora Patten and representatives from schools for their coordination and collaboration in making the event successful. The event ended with a vote of thanks and refreshment to all.

IRP-21st Battalion, organized and successfully concluded Knockout Volleyball Tournament at APC Parihaspora today on 8th November 2025. The event was organized under Civic Action Programme 2025-26, aimed to promote sportsmanship and community harmony among the youth. The tournament featured spirited competition from eight teams representing eight villages from Tehsil Singhpora and Tehsil Pattan of district Baramulla and Bandipora respectively. After a series of thrilling matches, Volleyball Team from village Yakhmanpora emerged as the winners, with team Kawapora Trigam securing a well-fought runners-up position.
Sh. Paramjeet Singh, SSP, JKPS Commandant of IRP-21st Bn,. Speaking on the occasion he commended the players for their energy and sportsmanship and emphasized the role of sports in building character and strengthening the bond between the police and the community. Trophies, medals, certificates and other sports items were presented to the winners and all participating teams.
