𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿. 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 𝗱𝘆𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗰𝘀.

Council looks different than it did a few months ago. That’s not insignificant.

Since November’s election, the dynamics around the council table have shifted. The first meetings made it clear that change is rarely comfortable and not always welcomed. Both come with public office.

This page has been quiet, not absent. Observing closely matters… especially during transitions. It remains focused on what it has always done, watching closely, asking questions, and keeping public business in the public eye.

As 2026 gets underway, I wish residents a steady and hopeful year ahead.

I’ll continue to pay attention.

DORVAL AVE
Residents are against development that is imposed without dialogue, without long-term thinking, and without respect for the residents who already live here.

This type of urban transformation directly contradicts the human-scaled, green, and residential identity of Dorval. It threatens the quality of life, ecological balance, traffic safety, and the social cohesion of a community built on connection and care.

As the densification of Dorval surges forward, remember how we got here,

Somethings just don’t pass the smell test

The company BC2, where one of their employees was registered as a lobbyist for NADG 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝘀𝗼 𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗗𝗼𝗿𝘃𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆'𝘀 𝗺𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻

Specifically, Veronique Alpin, a VP Urbanism at BC2, was registered as a lobbyist for NADG and was also involved in the city's urban plan revision, which included densification objectives.

𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐚 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐦 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐛𝐨𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐍𝐀𝐃𝐆.

This dual role raised concerns about potential 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐝𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐲'𝐬 𝐦𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧 𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬.
