Today marks the start of the celebration of my coronation as the 14th Asagba of Asaba. I am reminded of the promises I made to my people during my traditional installation.

I promised to uphold and promote Asaba’s rich traditions and culture, to foster unity amongst our people, and to improve the welfare and development of our community.

I also vowed to advance knowledge, strengthen traditional authorities, and work closely with the State Government to make Asaba the state capital of our dreams.

My dear compatriots of Asaba, there is much work to be done, and even as your king, I cannot do it alone. A new dawn is upon us, and it is time for us to strive for the greatest happiness of the greatest number of our people.

Long live the Ahaba Kingdom.
Long live Ani Ahaba.
May God protect our land.
May our glory never fade.

As the year ends, I reflect with gratitude for the incredible honor of being entrusted with the title of the 14th Asagba of Asaba. On 19 August 2024, the people of Asaba entrusted me with the honor of stepping into the shoes of my ancestors as the 14th Asagba of Asaba. On 28 November 2024, His Excellency, the Governor of Delta State, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori , presented me with the Staff of Office, officially installing me as the Asagba.

My emergence as the Asagba demonstrates that the Asaba people saw in me the qualities of leadership that will honor the legacy of my predecessor, His Royal Majesty Prof. Chike Edozien, CFR. Their trust in me is a clear invitation to continue pushing the boundaries of engagement and service in our land.

I recognize the enormous burden that comes with this role, but it is one I am fully committed to shouldering for the progress and well-being of our people. I promise that I will not betray the trust of my people, nor will I ever disappoint the people of Asaba.

Long live the Ahaba Kingdom.
Long live Ani Ahaba.
May God protect our land.
May our glory never fade.
