May nagsabi sa akin dati:

"Atty, eldest ako. Automatic mas malaki share ko, di ba?"

Sabi ko: "Saan mo nakuha yan?"

Sabi niya: "Eh kasi tradition."

Tradition ≠ Law.

At maraming Filipino families ang nagkakagulo dahil sa myths about inheritance.

Kaya here's the truth--in plain Taglish, walang legal jargon.

Panoorin niyo. Share niyo sa pamilya niyo. Bago kayo mag-away, alamin niyo muna ang batas.

Questions? Message AMARA LAW. Let's protect your family--legally.

When leaders tell you to stay chill in the middle of danger they are already telling you how little your life weighs in their scale of priority.

Apathy is the poison that slowly kills long before the storm even arrives.

Happy 76th Araw ng Padada! 🥳🥳🥳

Another year to look back with gratitude, and look forward with hope.

Padada will always be home—the place that shaped our values, our dreams, and our strength. Through the years, we’ve seen struggles, growth, and moments that tested our spirit. Yet we remain—a people rooted in resilience, kindness, and quiet courage.

May this celebration awaken a deeper love for our town, and a shared desire to see it flourish—not just for us, but for the next generation.

Here’s to a Padada that is peaceful, thriving, and full of promise.
Padayon lang. Always with heart.

I came across this post about someone with real expertise in grains production volunteering to help Cebu’s Food Security Team — and I couldn’t help but admire the leadership mindset behind it.

THIS is what governance should look like.
You don’t pretend you can do everything. You ask for help, you value expertise, and you listen without letting your pride get in the way.

Support, suggestions, and collaboration are not threats. They are gifts. Resources. Lifelines. Only insecure leaders see them as competition.

A true leader surrounds themselves with capable people — not just to fill seats, but to bring solutions. Because the goal is not to be the star, but to actually get things done for the people.

This is what good governance is all about--
Leadership that listens. Governance that includes.

If this stings, maybe it’s a sign.

Former DA Usec For Rice & Corn Program Joins Cebu Food Security Team!

Former Agriculture Undersecretary Dante S. Delima has volunteered to join the Food Security Team of new Cebu Governor Pamela Baricuatro.

Usec Delima's expertise is in grains production which could greatly help our effort to reintroduce White and Yellow Corn Production.

White Corn grits is the staple food of many Cebuanos while Yellow Corn is needed for the production of animal feeds.

Usec Delima who is based in Cebu is the new addition to the long list of private sector volunteers helping Cebu's Food Security Program.

Yesterday I banged the final gavel and concluded the last session of the 17th Sangguniang Panlalawigan.

I started this journey with idealism, and with fire. I first worked with veterans then with some who were new. But if there is something we all have in common--we are believers in service.

Despite the noise, the pressure, the politics — I always showed up.

I showed up for our constituents. I showed up even when it was difficult. I showed up even in those times when I felt like not showing up because I was tired, misunderstood, or underestimated.

After 9 years, I will be leaving the SP halls...but I don't leave empty. I leave with lessons, scars, memories — and most of all, hope. Hope that those who will come after us will carry the torch further, brighter, and bolder.

To those stepping in:
This isn’t just about positions. This is about purpose.
Remember that every ordinance you pass can uplift or oppress. Every silence can bless or betray.

And now, as I lay down this mandate, one final time, I say:

We came. We served. We fought. And we made it count.
This is not goodbye. This is just a pause —
Because when your purpose is bigger than your position,
You never really stop serving.

Salamat Davao del Sur sa oportunidad nga maka serbisyo nimo.

Your lioness is not done roaring.

𝗪𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗥 𝗜𝗦 𝗔 𝗕𝗔𝗦𝗜𝗖 𝗥𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧, 𝗡𝗢𝗧 𝗔 𝗟𝗨𝗫𝗨𝗥𝗬

Let me make this clear:
👉 This is not a political post.
👉 This is a long-standing problem that affects every Padadaoeño—regardless of status, belief or political affiliations.

For decades now, Padada has been suffering from a water crisis that should have been solved a long time ago. Despite being the smallest municipality in Davao del Sur, we still do not have sufficient, consistent, and potable water for our households and small businesses.

The water that trickles from our faucets—when it even comes at all—is too salty. Families are forced to buy expensive water for drinking and sometimes, even for cooking. PAWASCO, being a private cooperative, may be doing its best—but the problem is clearly beyond their current capacity.

Enough is enough. Padada deserves better. This is not just an issue of inconvenience—this is an issue of public health, livelihood, and dignity.

We respectfully urge our local government to:

1. Declare a Local Water Crisis to recognize the seriousness of the situation.

2. Conduct an independent technical assessment of all current water sources and systems.

3. Explore alternatives beyond PAWASCO—such as public-private partnerships or a government-led water district.

4. Tap national government support (e.g., DILG, LWUA, DPWH) to fund a sustainable and potable water system.

5. Prioritize water infrastructure in the municipal budget with clear transparency and accountability.

She is fire and calm, grit and grace—Atty. Anna is not just a public servant, she is public service personified. Fierce in the face of injustice, firm in the rule of law, yet profoundly compassionate to every Padadeño's cry. With a legacy built as a seasoned lawyer, former law professor, PNP Legal Officer, and 3-term Board Member, she stands with unmatched wisdom and unwavering integrity.

Now, as your ideal Vice Mayor, she brings the perfect balance of strength and heart—and the perfect chemistry with the strong, visionary leadership of Governor Yvonne Roña Cagas and Vice Governor Marc Cagas with Mayor Frazhale Guerrero. Together, they are the force Padada needs for transformation that is real, rooted, and rising.
