Two days training on " Preperation of GP Development Status Report and Panchayat Development Index for holistic GPDP" was conducted at Namcheybong GPK for Namcheybong GPU and Assam Linzey GPU organised by SIRD &PR. Hon'ble Panchayats fron both the GP along with GPU functionaries and SHGs attended the training. The resource person for the training was Mrs Passang Lepcha FF SIRD &PR and Mrs Lachumit Lepcha VAA , Namcheybong GPU.

On 3rd Feb 2026 a health camp on Anaemia Camp(Test,Talk,Treat) under the banner Malnutrition Free Sikkim was organised by Women, Child, Senior Citizen,Divyangjan Welfare Department at Newmarket Model ICDS Namcheybong GPU. The guest of the program was Panchayat President Smt. Shakila Rai Namcheybong GPU along with other officials Ms Sunita Thapa, Assistant Director Nutrition Cell, CDPO cm Deputy Director Inspectors , Supervisor along with AWW and Helpers. Free health checkup and blood testing for anaemia for children from the age of 2 years to women of all ages was done. The distribution of fruits and vegetables along with other healthy nutritions was provided to anaemic women and children.

Today 17th Jan 2026 Annual Gram Sabha of 25 Namcheybong GPU was conducted at GPk hall. The Sabha was chaired by Hon'ble Panchayat President Smt Sakila Rai. All the Panchayat members ,Zilla Panchayat , BDO , Namcheybong BAC, Line Department Officials, Office Functionaries and the general public attended the Sabha.

Today on 3rd of December under the direction of Hon'ble Area MLA.Shri Raju Basnet a program on International Day of Person with Disabilities was observed at Namcheybong GPU by Pradhan Mantri Divyasa Kendra (PMDK) Gangtok and Women, Child, Senior Citizen and Divyangjan Welfare Department, Pakyong in collaboration with Namcheybong GPU.
The program was attended by OSD to Hon'ble Area MLA shri Hari Rizal, Public Grievance Officer Shri Baichung Bhutia, 22- Namcheybong Constituency, CLC 22- Namcheybong Constituency Shri Jigmee Bhutia. All the Hon'ble Panchayat of 25- Namcheybong GPU, Officials from the Welfare Department, staff and public of Namcheybong GPU attended the programme.
Wheelchairs, walking sticks, hearing aids, knee caps, and waist belts were distributed during the program.

Today on 19 Nov a monthly coordination meeting of Panchayats and office functionaries was held at Namcheybong GPU. The meeting was chaired by hon'ble Panchayat President Smt Sakila Rai with a special guest Zilla Panchayat shir Mandeep Kumar Rai along with all the Panchayat members. Respected AD Sir Suresh Rai addressed the issues and gave some gist of the meeting. Overall the meeting was fruitful.

Newly regularised employees and AD,PRI of 25 Namcheybong GPU organises picnic to all the Panchayats and other office functionaries. Along with the picnic a Felicitation programme was also organised to honour Miss Abhista Basnet who has been selected as under 17 Indian women's Football Team.

Awareness program on SBM(G) Menstrual Hygiene and Plastic waste Management at Namcheybong Sr. Sec School organised by Zilla Panchayat 16 Namcheybong Territorial Constituency.
Hon'ble Zilla Panchayat Mandeep Kumar Rai Ward Panchayat Prashant Gurung, Respected AD (PRI) Suresh Rai, VAA Lachumit Lepcha, PDA,Hissay Lhamu Lepcha and other functionaries attended the program.
VAA Lachumit Lepcha give awareness on Plastic Waste Management and PDA Hissay Lhamu Lepcha gave awareness on Menstrual Hygiene to the students of Namcheybong Sr. Sec School.
