𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐌𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: 𝐑𝐨𝐛𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐓𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐨 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡

The DICT Zamboanga del Norte was invited by the Dipolog City Social Welfare and Development Office in partnership with Barangay Turno for a 1-Day Mobile Robotics training for the Youth in celebration of the Linggo ng Turno. The training was conducted last June 17, 2025 which was held at the 3rd Floor of the Turno Barangay Hall.

The training aims to spark interest in robotics and develop 21st-century skills among youth—critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and coding—preparing them for future careers in science and technology.

With every gear turned and code executed, these young minds are taking their first steps into the world of automation and innovation.

DICT Zamboanga del Norte, in collaboration with OWWA-ZDN, successfully concluded a 𝟲-𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗥𝗘𝗕𝗢𝗢𝗧 (𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗢𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗢𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗧𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘄) 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 for our valued OFW beneficiaries and their families.

𝐏𝐍𝐏𝐊𝐈 𝐔𝐬𝐞𝐫'𝐬 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐎𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐋𝐆𝐔 𝐏𝐢ñ𝐚𝐧 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬

Head of Offices from the Local Government Unit of Piñan successfully secured their Digital Signatures during a PNPKI Orientation and User's Training conducted by the DICT Zamboanga del Norte Field Office last June 2, 2025, held at Municipal Hall, Piñan, Zamboanga del Norte.

The training aims to highlight the key benefits of using PNPKI Digital Certificates and provided information on the usage of digital signatures, particularly for signing documents and sending encrypted emails. Participants were able to apply and use it in signing electronic documents.

The Philippine National Public Key Infrastructure (PNPKI) is one of the core services being offered by the DICT that will foster trust in the government by ensuring secure and reliable online transactions. PKI allows users of public networks like the Internet to exchange private data securely.

𝐃𝐈𝐂𝐓 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐂𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐭 𝐁𝐫𝐠𝐲. 𝐓𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐚, 𝐋𝐞𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐠𝐨

On June 13, 2025, the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Zamboanga del Norte Provincial Office joined the 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗯𝗶𝘀𝘆𝗼 𝗚𝘂𝗴𝗺𝗮 𝘀𝗮 𝗕𝗿𝗴𝘆. 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗮, 𝗟𝗲𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗴𝗼, a service caravan under the Retooled Community Support Program (RCSP) of the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC).

As part of the whole-of-nation approach to empower geographically isolated and disadvantaged communities, DICT provided the following key services to residents and participating agencies:

1. 𝙚𝙂𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙎𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙞𝙘𝙚𝙨 𝘼𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚 - Residents were guided in accessing the eGovPH Super App through user orientations.
2. 𝙁𝙧𝙚𝙚 𝙒𝙞-𝙁𝙞 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙣𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙞𝙩𝙮 - Access to Free Wi-Fi for All was made temporarily available during the event providing residents and local officials with internet connectivity for communication, education, and access to digital services.
3. 𝙄𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧-𝘼𝙜𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙮 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙣𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙎𝙪𝙥𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩 - deployed temporary internet solutions to ensure other participating line agencies could offer efficient services such as National ID registration.
4. 𝘾𝙮𝙗𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙚𝙘𝙪𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝘼𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙎𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 - conducted community-level discussions on online safety, educating residents on identifying phishing, scams, protecting personal data and safe browsing habits.

This outreach activity underscores DICT’s commitment to bridging the digital divide and fostering safe, connected, and digitally empowered communities even in the most remote areas of the country bannering under this years National ICT Month theme "Walang Iwanan sa Digital Bayanihan" - a Nation working together for a more digitally connected Philippines.

Digital Transformation Center or Sindanganon Computer Center was alive with intellectual discourse as Bachelor of Science in Mathematics students from MSU Sindangan presented and defended their thesis for their finals.

Professors and faculty members eagerly engaged with the defendants, carefully analyzing their theories and mathematical formulas that aim to contribute to fundamental mathematical knowledge.

Kudos to these hardworking students for their dedication and perseverance! Your passion for mathematics is shaping the future of logical reasoning and problem-solving.
