You might be living in the dark if you haven't heard about the solar eclipse happening. 🌒👀

While the sun may seem dimmer during an eclipse, it's still powerful enough to damage your eyes. The darker skies can trick your body's natural "look away" reflex, meaning harmful rays can reach your retina - and it doesn't hurt while it's happening.

👓❌ If you're planning to catch a glimpse of this solar spectacle a rummage through the kitchen cupboards and a piece of paper is all you need to enjoy the show safely - we've pulled together a few examples below.

👓✔️ For those lucky (or prepared) enough to have a pair of eclipse glasses make sure they're genuine and meet the proper safety standards before looking up.
