Parking and Directions: You may park at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium on Taylor Ave. for $11. Take the State Shuttle. The cost is $2 each way. This shuttle runs from the Stadium parking lot to downtown Annapolis every 20 minutes from 6:40 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Exit the shuttle in front of the State House and walk across the street to the Miller Senate Office Building. There is additional parking in Gott's Garage on Calvert Street or Hillman Garage on Duke of Gloucester Street.

SUGGESTIONS TO GROW OUR PARTY

#1: Define the Party - MDP will publish and promote a living statement of what the Party stands for and stands against.

#2: Improve and expand communications - MDP will grow and sharpen its communications content and expand its reach.

#3: Engage young people - MDP will seek to grow and support MD Young Dems and High School Dems chapters in every county.

#4: Find people to run in new places and support them - MDP is running Contest Every Seat, a 17-county effort to recruit and support candidates where Republicans hold power.

#5: Do more training and capacity building 1 MDP is doing regional trainings, the Chesapeake Campaign Academy, a one-day statewide organizing summit, and hosting trainers from DNC and allied organizations in 2026.

#6: Work in alliances with other organizations 1 Listening sessions are underway with labor and business allies and sessions are planned with other groups in 2026.

#7: Organize in rural places - MDP will expand staff support and services to rural communities in 2026 and beyond, especially where we have candidates running.

#8: Engage African American voters -
MDP will expand efforts to grow African American engagement in Party activities at every level in 2026 and beyond.

#9: Practice the politics of inclusion, and call out Republicans for their identity politics of exclusion - MDP will protect, defend, and engage all people, always, and WIll never be bullied into practicing exclusion.

#10: Give people, especially young people, a reason to be a Democrat, and sign them up - MDP will launch a campaign to increase Democratic Party voter registration in 2026.

#11: Hold our elected officials accountable - MDP does not attack our own, but we educate, we empower, and we elevate the voices of our people.

#12 Get big money out of politics - Yes! This is the holy grail, the one victory that can lead us to economic justice.

BONUS: Do more, and stop asking me for money! — We must, and we will, do more. But we do need money!
