Young Democratic Socialists of America at IUPUI We are working to create a society that democratically meets the needs of ALL people. Solidarity to all actively fighting oppression!

We do that by fight for policies that help the working class and providing direct action to those in need.

We stand in solidarity with the protestors in Minneapolis.

We have to recognize that no actions other than impotent words and pleading would be seen as legitimate by this imperialist-white supremacist-capitalist-patriarchal system. It is the duty of all those who enjoy privilege and who hold freedom and human dignity as moral absolutes to stand up and be counted amongst our brothers, sisters, and siblings in struggle. It is imperative that we stand and exclaim that Black Lives Matter. Because in this day and age, no matter how much the opposition loves to yell otherwise, this system does not treat all lives as if they do matter.

We say Black Lives Matter because of George Floyd.
We say Black Lives Matter because of Ahmaud Arbery.
We say Black Lives Matter because of Breonna Taylor.
We say Black Lives Matter because of Dreasjon Reed.
We say Black Lives Matter for every black person who has been the victim of this system of oppression for over 400 years.

Two important bills are hitting the floor of the the Undergraduate Student Government that will support Paw's Pantry. If you support Paw's, show up to BS 2000 from 12-2pm. You will get free pizza too!

Paw's does not get any funding from the university for food. As capitalism continues to exploit our student's, more of them are food secure and fewer are able to donate food. With that in mind, a bill is being proposed to donate $5,000 to Paw's Pantry. There will be fellow YDSA folks there and you are welcome to sit with us
