MANIFESTO
Insha Allah after my successful contest of election for Court Membership of F/o Law, following steps shall be taken by me:
PART-I
Seminar Library
1. To get updated the out dated facilities of Seminar, Book bank and digitalization of the same.
2. To increase the number of books which can be issued from the Book Bank from three to Six for a semester at the reduced rate of 10 per cent.
3. To provide variety of options in respect of the authors of the books.
4. To ensure availability of various Journals and Syllabus of different competitive examinations.
5. To get the books issued from the seminar desk on daily basis.
PART-II
Ensurement of Viable Student Exposure
1. To take effective steps in organizing Law Fest on annual basis.
2. To take initiatives in organizing first “All India Sir Syed National Moot Court Competition”.
3. To organize Student Conference on Contemporary legal issues.
4. To organize Intra-Faculty Moot Court and Debate competitions for the purpose of selecting student to represent the faculty in various National and International Competitions on performance basis.
5. To secure that at least two ‘A’ grade law firms shall visit the faculty for placement related matters on student’s credential basis.
6. To organize regular interactive sessions with numerous eminent personalities.
PART-III
Female Student Grievances
1. To increase the closure timings of Girls Common Room of Faculty from 2 P.M to 6 P.M.
2. To ensure that all the girls students of Law Faculty are allotted rooms in the first Week of March 2012 in BSJ extension.
3. There shall be no remuneration in terms of Dining Hall in BSJ. The minute of the same shall be circulated by tomorrow from the provost’s office of BSJ as per the outcome of my meeting with the provost.
4. To get the Infra structure of reading room of BSJ updated in the time bound period of three months.
5. So far as the 16 black listed bonafide residents of BSJ Hall, who has been arbitrarily enlisted in black list shall be given clean chit by next three days as has been ensured by the provost of BSJ Hall in my meeting with her.
PART-IV
Redressal of Academic Problems
1. To get revived the traditional syllabus so as to bring the same in conformity with the societal change.
2. To introduce certain emerging subjects in B.A.LL.B. course like; Merger & Acquisition Law, Competition Law, Sport Law, Energy Law etc.
3. To get the marks of Sectional and project works notified on the notice boards of the Faculty.
4. To ensure re-sit provision for LL.M. students.
5. To ensure that the dissertations of LL.M. final year students is submitted on time without any inconvenience.
6. To get the answer sheets of sessional consulted by respective students after its evaluation so as to rule out any possibilities of future errors in their answer sheets.
7. To ensure for the proper assignment of subjects to proper teachers on their qualification basis.
8. To have check and balance on the inconvenience faced by the Research scholars and ensurement of their early and smooth completion of research work.
9. To make sure that all the Research scholars are getting their incentives on time.
10. To raise the issue of first division on 60 per cent in the academic council meeting and its effective implementation thereof.
PART-V
Infrastructure Issue
1. To have Wi-Fi connectivity in time bound period of three weeks on reasonably reduced price.
2. To increase the number of chairs in the class rooms which has become a major problem specially when the classes are combined.
3. To increase the number of desktop in computer lab along with the proper availability of legal search engines.
4. To make the power grid constructed near Law Faculty functional within one month so as to ensure continuous and regular electricity supply in both Ambedkar and BSJ Halls as well as in Faculty.
5. To ensure proper sanitation and hygienic environment in the Faculty premises.
6. To provide possible convenience in the class rooms specially in summer season.
PART-VI
Grievance Cell
1. To constitute a panel of students headed by the Court member to be known as “Grievance Cell” consisting two representatives from every batch elected democratically for the purpose of ensuring redressal of all the grievances arising out of marks evaluation and other problems incidental thereto.
2. It shall be the duty of Grievance Cell to ensure transparency in marks including proper and prior notification of dates of Sessionals, Projects, Mid and End Semester examinations.
3. It shall be the duty of Grievance Cell to inspect the modus-operandi of the academic activities on regular basis.
4. In case any student is failed in the examination, his/her answer sheets shall be evaluated by another external examiner under the scrutiny of Grievance Cell.
PART-VII
Miscellaneous
1. To create a healthy environment so that the persistent gulf between the seniors and juniors can be bridged upon.
2. To create an amicable and easily accessible relation between teacher and student in a legalized and channelized manner.
3. To conduct a meeting of the students with the court member in the first week of every month whereby the problems arising and their best possible solution shall be discussed and implemented accordingly.
I have come in this electoral fray with the sole theme of CHANGE and PRACTICALITY. No endeavour taken by me shall be authenticated and implemented unless the same is solely aimed for the welfare and upliftment of student fraternity of Law Faculty.
