Ready, Resilient, and Response-Ready! 🏔️🚒
Safety is a shared responsibility, and in Bakun, we believe in being proactive rather than reactive.
The Bakun Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (MDRRMC), in partnership with the Bakun Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), conducted a comprehensive Community Drill and Simulation Exercise at Sinacbat Covered Ground.
Our participants didn't just watch—they rolled up their sleeves and trained in the essentials of disaster resilience:
Earthquake Drill: "Duck, Cover, and Hold" and ensuring orderly evacuation.
Fire Drill: Practicing swift, calm exits to keep everyone safe during an emergency.
Rescue Operations: Training on how to safely move and assist individuals in high-pressure situations.
Bandaging & First Aid: Learning the knots and wraps that save lives and stabilize injuries.
Fire Extinguisher Training: Getting hands-on experience with the PASS technique (Pull, Aim, Squeeze, Sweep).
By simulating these real-world scenarios today, we are building a stronger, more prepared Bakun for tomorrow. A huge salute to our Bakun MDRRMC & BFP officers for their expertise and to our community members for their active participation!
