It’s Dairy Day! Today, we’re celebrating the state’s largest agricultural sector, recognizing New York’s top dairy farmers and processors, and showcasing the very best of New York dairy. Here’s what you can look forward to today:

🥤SHAKE IT UP - Commissioner Ball will judge media teams in the Undeniably Dairy Shake-Off Milkshake Contest! 10:30 a.m. at the Wegmans Demo Kitchen!

🥛THE MOBILE DAIRY EXPERIENCE - Visit the immersive educational experience that demonstrates the processes behind dairy production, the importance of environmental stewardship in agriculture, the economic impact of the dairy industry, and more!

🐄THE DAIRY CATTLE BARN - Visit the barn that houses all the dairy cattle shown at the Fair, observe cows being milked and learn how milk gets from cow to glass!

🧈DAIRY PRODUCTS BUILDING: See the spectacular butter sculpture and enjoy a 25 cent glass of perfectly chilled milk and other dairy treats!

Have you visited the New York Voice of the Farmer Garden at The Great New York State Fair? 💐🌽🥔🥬🍈🍎

The garden is a living, interactive learning space for visitors to see many of the major crops grown in New York, featuring over 45 varieties of vegetable crops, herbs, fruits and pollinator plants. New this year are cut flower beds highlighting New York’s growing commercial cut flower industry, and a small, high-density apple orchard!

Stop by the garden to speak with Master Gardner Volunteers and CCE Onondaga staff about New York crops!

Tomorrow is BEEF DAY at The Great New York State Fair! Join us to celebrate New York’s beef industry and participate in special activities planned for the day. Here’s what you can look forward to:

Fairgoers can pick up a free Cow Ear headband, while supplies last, at the New York Beef Council Tent near Gate 2 and the Dairy Cattle Building.

Participate in this year's new Beef Day photo contest! Post a photo with your headbands along with the hashtag , tag NewYorkBeefCouncil and submit their photo through the Woobox landing page here: https://woobox.com/snsyfb
