The countdown to the 76th Adlaw sa Iligan officially begins!

Today, the executive management board, partners from various sectors, and members of the media gathered for the Press Conference of the 76th Adlaw sa Iligan, where the calendar of activities, major events, and highlights of this year’s celebration were formally unveiled.

Carrying the theme, “𝗞𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗻, 𝗞𝗮𝗴𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗻, 𝘂𝗴 𝗞𝗮𝘂𝗴𝗺𝗮𝗼𝗻,” this year’s Adlaw sa Iligan honors our rich heritage, celebrates the freedom and progress we continue to enjoy, and inspires a collective vision for a brighter future for every Iliganon.

From cultural showcases and sports competitions to community engagements and special events, the month-long celebration promises meaningful and exciting activities that reflect the culture and aspirations of our city.

The Clean and Green Sustainability Council held its meeting today at the Center for Digital Iligan Innovation and Sustainability (CDIIS), to discuss environmental programs, sustainability initiatives, and collaborative efforts in maintaining the cleanliness and greenness of Iligan City.

The meeting was presided over by the City Administrator Dr. Darwin J. Manubag, together with Chief of Staff Jules Verne A. Padilla, representing the City Mayor’s Office, and council members and partner offices committed to advancing environmental responsibility and sustainable development in the city.

Pinaagi sa panaghiusa ug aktibong partisipasyon sa tanang sektor, padayon nga ginapalig-on ang mga programa alang sa mas limpyo, mas luntian, ug mas maayong kaugmaon para sa tanang Iliganon.

The Science, Technology, and Innovation Planning Workshop successfully brought together brilliant minds and changemakers committed to building smarter and more innovative communities. Organized by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), the event was also attended by DOST–Lanao del Norte Provincial Director Engr. Roy C. Sagrado.

Representing the City Mayor, Chief of Staff Jules Verne Padilla attended the workshop and delivered the opening remarks, showing the city government’s strong support for programs that promote science, technology, and innovation para sa mas maayong kaugmaon sa katawhan.

“Pinaagi sa panaghiusa ug pagtinabangay, mas mapalambo nato ang atong komunidad pinaagi sa syensya ug teknolohiya.”

A coordination and planning meeting for the Grand Triple Day Celebration, chaired by Atty. Laurentino Badelles, was conducted led by Adlaw sa Iligan Chairman, Jules Verne A. Padilla, together with partner offices, concerned agencies, and key stakeholders to ensure a succesful, organized, and meaningful celebration for every iliganon. Discussions focused on security, traffic management, program flows, logistics, and public safety in preparation for one of the city's biggest upcoming events.

The City Government continues to work hand in hande with various agencies to deliver a celebration that is safe, vibrant, and truly memorable for the people of iligan.

The City Mayor’s Office successfully conducted the Work Financial Plan (WFP) Orientation for CMO Ancillary Offices aimed at strengthening financial planning, budget alignment, and the effective implementation of programs and activities across offices. The activity aimed to guide departments in ensuring that government resources are utilized efficiently and in accordance with established priorities and goals.

Serving as the resource speaker was Atty. Aljade Laut from the City Budget Office, who shared valuable insights and practical discussions regarding the proper preparation and implementation of the Work Financial Plan.

The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB), led by RD Aljo Bendijo, J.D., Regional Director of the LTFRB Regional Franchising and Regulatory Office No. 10, recently visited our LGU to further enhance coordination and cooperation among offices, reinforcing our shared commitment to efficient and responsive governance.

As part of their initiative to expand accessibility in the region, LTFRB Region X is currently exploring a suitable location for their office.
