Over 17k SDP students speak over 155+ languages at home, yet PA still has no bilingual teaching certificate.

As Mayor, I will work to develop Philly's own bilingual school designation and expand curricula celebrating the history, heroes, and values of SDP students’ diverse cultural backgrounds.

This bill would create an unnecessary financial burden on residents, particularly seniors and those on a fixed income, and force people out of their homes.

For 12 years, and as Chair of Licenses & Inspections, I opposed this onerous bill and others like it. I would veto it as Mayor.

The measure would require automatic sprinkler systems in existing high-rise buildings that are above 75 feet.

I stand with them & continue to fight for equal pay, our body autonomy and access to opportunities in fields - like STEM & building construction - where we are continually shut out.

I stand with them for our collective safety in digital spaces, & in our schools, blocks and homes.

I encourage us all to stand with our women & girls, on all days & especially today !
