Today, I voted for, and the House passed, the Iran War Powers Resolution, sending a strong rebuke to President Trump’s war in Iran. This is the wrong priority. While billions are spent on a war in Iran, families in our communities are drowning in economic pain, with gas prices near $6 a gallon. Thirteen service members have lost their lives. Hundreds more injured. Thousands of Americans put in harm’s way.

The Senate must now do the same. End this endless conflict. Bring our troops home.

I watched the Imperial County meeting on my phone during my flight and I heard every word our community said. Today my office put my opposition to the proposed data center on the official public record. And this week, I am escalating formal letters to the EPA and the Department of Energy demanding protections for local communities.

I know there are some important meetings this week in Imperial Valley and Coachella regarding data centers. I want to be clear. I unequivocally oppose the proposed data centers in Imperial and Coachella and urge local officials to prevent them from happening.

106 years. 🍒

That’s how long Beaumont has been celebrating the Cherry Festival, and this year was extra special. I was so glad to introduce our hometown star and American Idol winner, Abi Carter, to the stage.

If you’re in the area this weekend, come out to the Cherry Festival for great food, rides, and good times! 🎢

There are many serious concerns about data centers that need to be addressed. Our water. Our energy bills. Our health. Watch my full statement.

I keep hearing from workers and families daily that they feel like they are drowning in this economy.

The price at the pump. The grocery bill. You are working harder than ever and it keeps getting more expensive.

Trump’s war in Iran is driving up costs, and our communities are the ones carrying that weight.

I see you. I hear you. And I will always fight for you.

We listened. We learned. Now we get to work.

Community health centers are the backbone of health care in our communities, and today their leaders showed us exactly how to make them stronger.

Thank you to everyone who joined us.

Today’s roundtable was exactly what this work is about.

Community Health Center leaders from across our communities came together with powerful ideas on how the bill I introduced, the Developing the Community Health Workforce Act, can create job opportunities, grow the health workforce, and keep expanding healthcare access for every family in our communities.

Community Health Centers are essential, and the people closest to the challenges have the best solutions.

More to come. 💪

As a doctor, I know what it looks like when people can’t access care. It’s not just a policy issue. it’s a life or death issue.

This morning I’m meeting with health center leaders who see it every single day. Their stories matter. Their voices will shape what we fight for in Washington.

More to come after the roundtable
