The latest pre-poll survey conducted by Lokpoll paints a decisive picture in favor of the INC-led INDIA alliance across key states, showcasing their growing momentum ahead of the 2024 elections. In Maharashtra, the Maharashtra Vikas Aghadi (MVA), which is part of the INDIA alliance, is projected to secure between 141-154 seats, while the NDA trails behind with 115-128 seats. This surge in support reflects a shift in voter sentiment, with the MVA capitalizing on public dissatisfaction with the BJP-Shiv Sena (Shinde) government's handling of key issues such as unemployment, farmer distress, and regional development. The MVA's robust, ground-level engagement and clear policy alternatives resonate strongly, setting them up for a commanding victory.
In Jammu & Kashmir, the Lokpoll survey shows the INDIA alliance sweeping the region with 51-56 seats, leaving the BJP significantly behind with just 23-26 seats. This remarkable lead signals a rejection of the BJP's policies post the abrogation of Article 370, as voters increasingly turn to the INDIA alliance for stability, the restoration of statehood, and governance reforms. The alliance, led by Congress and the National Conference, has successfully galvanized public support, especially in the Kashmir Valley, where concerns about civil liberties and local governance remain paramount.
The results from Haryana are equally encouraging for the INC-led INDIA alliance, with a projected 58-65 seats compared to the BJP's meager 20-29 seats. This strong performance reflects the electorate's dissatisfaction with the BJP's handling of farmers' issues, employment challenges, and rural development. Congress’s ability to address these pressing concerns, particularly following the farmers' protests, has catapulted them to a dominant position. Across these key states, the Lokpoll survey underscores the growing influence of the INDIA alliance, positioning them as the clear frontrunners in the race for 2024.
