If for some mysterious reason(s) you have not heard about Dr.Jamilu Isiyaku Gwamna and you are from Gombe then sit back and enjoy this brief write up. Dr jamil served as the Director of sahelian energy and integrated services Ltd where he employed Gombe indigenes as many as he could. Dr Jamil has extensive and vast experience in the water industry,heavy equipment distribution,manufacturing business and consultancy.After graduation with flying colours from the prestigious Ahmadu bello University,Dr jamil started working at the Nig bank of commerce and industry in Abeokuta,Ogun state. He then switched from finance to industry when he joined Kaduna Aluminium Ltd and later kaduna machine works as group cheif accountant. In preparation for an executive positionn,Dr Jamil was intially promoted to the position of marketing manager and due to his dedication and hardwork he was appointed General Manager of kaduna machine works. Hungry for more success in 1990 he establish from the scratch his own company "amstrade ventures ltd"in 2000 he started working in the public sector as the first executive chariman of Gombe state water corporation where he left the corporation far far than he met it.in 2004,Dr jamil with his vast experience and unquestionable intelligence took a major reserach project which involved the economic analysis and evaluation of the privatisation options used in the UK utilities with a case study of the british rail.Dr Jamil has expertise in economic analysis and policy options associated with public private partnership(PPP),public finance(PF) and other approaches to privatisation and commercialisation of state owned enterprises. He serves as the Director of many companies such as Deloitte,Brainforce,kaedco,CCCA,Northwest Energy to mention but a few. He is also a member of many professional bodies and also a member committee for the infrastructure concession regulatory committee(ICRC)responsible for contracts compliance. In 2008 Dr. Gwamna, completed his doctorate degree from from the London metropolitan university. He is currently the Managing Director,Chief executive officer MD/CEO of kano electricity distribution Company and is doing a "very good job"as acknowledge by the minister of PWH Babatunde raji Fashola.Ladies and getle men this is a brief intro into the person and personality of this great son of Gombe and Sardaunan Gombe.
