We advocate to the administration and other stakeholders for funding for academic programs, research, mental and physical health and well-being, basic needs, and diversity, equity, and inclusion init

iatives. In addition, we work with various campus partners to increase funding support for student organizations that host events and programs of graduate student interest. We also engage in external advocacy at the state, local, and federal levels on issues such as campus climate, mental health, visa reform, and research funding. RSG offers networking, social, and professional development opportunities in collaboration with other student organizations and campus resources to provide graduate students a chance to get outside their department and meet students from other disciplines. Our student organization funding program grants thousands of dollars each year to support graduate student organization events, including outreach, academic conferences, and social events promoting student interaction.
