USD 331 Enrichment Foundation

South Central Community Foundation (SCCF) is excited to announce that the USD 331 Enrichment Foundation has transferred funds and administration to SCCF. The Enrichment Foundation is dissolved.

With a long history of serving South Central Kansas, SCCF was thrilled to be selected as the new administrator for the Enrichment Foundation’s annual granting and help grow their financial assets.

Trying to bridge the gap between budget cuts and providing their communities with quality education, the Enrichment Foundation granted over $450,000 to USD 331 from 2016-2020.

Earlier this year the Enrichment Foundation Board elected to dissolve their nonprofit status and reached out to SCCF for help with the financials, daily operations, and committee correspondence.

With an incredible seed money of over $900,000, the Enrichment Foundation established two endowed funds at SCCF called the Kingman Innovative Learning Fund and the Norwich Innovative Learning Fund to help both communities. SCCF will continuing working with local volunteers to help select each year’s grantees.

“SCCF was so thrilled to be selected as the new face of the Enrichment Foundation,” said SCCF Director, Holly Launchbaugh, “We are looking forward to continuing their Foundation’s incredible legacy and supporting the schools when they need it most.”

Paraprofessional Grant Awarded. The Enrichment Foundation is investing in our community by awarding scholarships for district para’s who are seeking a teaching degree. Virtual Reality headsets take our students to endless destinations and expose them to educational opportunities that their parents only dreamed about. The Enrichment Foundation is excited to see this grant in action. Thanks to the staff for applying for the grant and implementing the headsets into their curriculum.

This morning we took the new VR Headsets for a dive into what a coral reef ecosystem looks like. I heard so many "oohs" and "ahhs" and we learned a lot! This is another grant in action. Thanks go out to the USD 331 Enrichment Foundation. We are loving this new technology and can't wait to see the endless possibilities it has in our school.

Grants in action! The traverse wall is installed at KEMS. The Foundation is excited about bringing new approaches to learning.

We are so thankful to the USD 331 Enrichment Foundation for providing the grant for this traverse wall. The Foundation as well as our Board of Education for supporting school improvement. The kids are loving it!

The Wacky Science Guy was at KEMS today! The Enrichment Foundation grant is making a series of assemblies possible at KEMS this school year. A new approach brought to you by an innovative staff and funds from The Enrichment Foundation. Science is everywhere you can't get away from it.
