"Today i made an assesment visit to Garbatulla Level Four Subcounty hospital to observe the level of preparedness with respect to Coronavirus (COVID-19).
This is against the backdrop of the County registering its first case of the dreaded respiratory viral infection.

As an intervention to ensure members of the public who might be at isolation centres in Isiolo South, i have ordered department of special program, thru my office to distribute food ration including rice and cooking oil.

I have also handed over 1,500 face masks to be distributed amongst residents of garbatulla town"~ H.E Dr Mohammed Kuti

H. E Dr Mohamed Kuti today joined British High Commissioner to Kenya Nic Hailey and the Country Head of DFID Julius Court in the signing of a MOU as they officially launched the Sustainable Urban Economic Development (SUED) programme at the Isiolo county Assembly grounds.
Under the SUED which is a 5yr programme, Isiolo Municipality is set to receive funding from the British government to a tune of Kshs 800 million alongside other nine counties.The programme is supported by the British government through Department of International Development (DFID) and COFFEY which will help Isiolo municipality in spearheading different activities among them capacity building, infrastructural improvement and hiring of specialists for Urban Economic Planning and investment.
The British government competitively selected 10 out of 53 municipalities who had applied and written the required proposals, with Isiolo getting the opportunity due to the political goodwill prevailing under the leadership of Governor Kuti.
The Governor lauded the British Government for the continued partnership with both the county and national government, adding that the funds will have a positive impact in Isiolo county due to the upcoming development projects like town planning and waste management.
Dr Kuti promised total commitment towards prudent utilization of the funds geared towards the improvement of Isiolo town, adding that his administration will be setting aside 2% of the county development budget annually for issues relating to climate change, following the enactment into law of a bill passed by the County Assembly a few months ago. This made Isiolo County the third county in Kenya to pass legislation relating to Climate change and commit funds towards the course.The county boss urged the Isiolo municipality to fast track the process of developing an urban economic plan.
The other municipalities that benefited from the programme alongside Isiolo are Kerugoya, Malindi, Kisii, Mandera, Kitui, Iten, Kathwana, Eldoret and Lamu.

CEO 011 H.E Dr Mohamed Abdi Kuti has called upon all education stakeholders in Isiolo county to partner in improving learning outcomes for schools within the County.
Speaking during an education quality dialogue forum at Isiolo Boys Secondary School,he noted that education standards for both primary and secondary levels in Isiolo is not up to standard, adding that each stakeholder has a responsibility of ensuring that there is quality competency based education in Isiolo county.
He observed that several development projects among them infrastructural projects are being implemented in Isiolo adding that only a learned society would benefit from jobs opportunities hence the need for combined efforts in raising the education standards, warning that in future, the Isiolo community will be disadvantaged if appropriate action is not taken now.
Governor Kuti said that his administration is committed to support the education sector,also several issues which impact negatively on the academic standards in Isiolo were highlighted,to mention bt a few are dropout rates, absenteeism, low enrollment in lower classes, indiscipline among pupils, and lack of proper infrastructure among others,we hope this year's results will revive the hope and restore the lost glory in this critical sector.

H.E Dr Mohamed Kuti, GVN011 receiving Director General KSG, Dr Ludeki Chwea & Kenya film classification board (KFCB) CEO Dr Ezekiel Mutua @ his office after they payed him a courtesy call. Gvn011 thanked the two delegation of visiting isiolo county, ready to partner with them in Empowering our youth. He further elaborated that KFCB have already established an office in isiolo, and are ready to come up with a mini theatre so as our young people can nature there talents especially in short films & music. He assured KFCB that his Government is committed and will collaborate with the institution so as to see positive change in young people of our county. H.E GVN011 further went on and thanked KSG for there collaboration and support in training county staffs & over 50 young people who were fully trained on SMEs, he assured that soon funds will be disbursed to the youths so as to start there own small businesses, . GVN011 allocated 10 acres of land for KSG in ngaremara ward so that a branch of the institution can be established, as he emphasized it will serve not only the youth of isiolo but the entire upper eastern region. Governor kuti called upon all our young men/women to come out in large numbers and benefit from this noble program of KSG & KFCB which is in partnership with his government. kudos gvn011.

H.E Dr Mohammed Kuti Gvn011, chair health committee CoG, with Health CS Sicily kariuki co- chairing a meeting with partnership Madam CS & Governor gave assurance on how the Government is committed in making programme real, how Government plans to make health care affordable to all Kenyans, and gave positive progress so far in the 4 uhc pilot project counties. They also emphasized on importance of partnership investment in health care sector, so as to achieve the main goal of having good and healthy life for all Kenyans. In an effort to realise one of his campaign promises and in line with president Uhuru's big four agenda,Universal healthcare for all,GVN011's government embarked on revival of health facilities across the county,one big success is the revival and completion of Bula Pesa Dispensary which is now fully equipped and will be operational in a week's time,the dispensary which will offer inpatient and outpatient services has also a maternity wing,fully equipped laboratory has a scerine environment with enough parking lot for Patients seeking services,the dispensary has also a solar powered borehole courtesy of the Northern water service board in collaboration with county government that provides enough water for the facility and also to the neighbouring residents who at times are affected by acute shortage of this crucial commodity,it's a milestone in our health sector kudos to his Excellency Dr.kuti COG chair health committee,Under his leadership UHC is a reality
