As the blessed month of Ramadan 2026 comes to an end, we at the Provincial Accounting Office - MDS (PACCO), under the leadership of Atty. Hamseya T. Abpi, CPA, reflect with gratitude on a time filled with faith, patience, and generosity. 🌙✨

Ramadan reminded us of the importance of discipline, compassion, and unity—values that guide not only our spiritual lives but also our commitment to public service. Through fasting, prayer, and acts of kindness, we were given the opportunity to strengthen our faith and deepen our sense of community.

The Provincial Accounting Office of Maguindanao del Sur participated in the 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 (𝗣𝗙𝗠𝗖𝗣) 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 for Local Government Units (LGUs) which was organized by The Regional Association of Local Budget Officers (RALBO), Inc. XII, in partnership with the Department of Budget and Management (DBM), held last February 2-4, 2026, at Greenleaf Hotel, General Santos City.

The capacity-building activity aimed to enhance the knowledge, competencies, and professional behavior of local PM practitioners, in support of gold governance, accountability, and the effective and efficient management of public resources. The program featured courses on special LGU funds, cash management, asset management, and the New Government Procurement Act.

HAPPY WORLD HIJAB DAY

The Provincial Government of Maguindanao del Sur, together with the Office of Gender and Development, joins the observance of 𝓦𝓸𝓻𝓵𝓭 𝓗𝓲𝓳𝓪𝓫 𝓓𝓪𝔂 this February 1, 2026.

Anchored on the theme , the observance highlights respect and inclusivity while affirming the fundamental right to freedom of expression and belief. Wearing the hijab is a symbol of honor for women and a meaningful expression of cultural and religious identity. It reflects dignity, values, and the strength of women who wear it with pride.

Through this celebration, the province strengthens its commitment to gender equality and empowerment by promoting safe spaces, rejecting discrimination, and fostering a society where diversity is embraced, identities are honored, and everyone is treated with dignity. 💜🎀

On January 22, 2026 (Thursday), at around 9:00 in the morning, the Provincial Accountant’s Office of Maguindanao del Sur conducted a meeting to discuss and explain the policies pertaining to all deliverables related to performance and payroll documentation and processing. The meeting was led by our Provincial Accountant, Atty. Hamseya T. Abpi. During the discussion, questions and clarifications were raised by the present Department Administrative Officers and Department Payroll In-Charge. Suggestions and fresh ideas were also presented and heard.

From December 1-4, 2025, representatives from the Office of the Provincial Accountant, Mark John Estrella CPA, Shahamza Ian Clark H. Sabado, and Jasmin S. Kamil actively participated in the interactive Public Service Continuity Planning Training Class held in Davao City. This training was conducted in accordance with the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Memorandum Circular No. 2020-001, which requires local government units to develop and implement continuity plans to ensure the delivery of essential public services during emergencies. The Office of the Provincial Accountant is dedicated to applying these learnings to enhance its resilience and effectiveness in delivering finance services continuously, especially during disasters.

📌 Executive Order No. 015, Series of 2025

Governor Datu Ali M. Midtimbang has issued an order declaring the suspension of classes in all levels, both public and private schools, and temporary work suspension in government and private offices across the Province of Maguindanao del Sur on September 19, 2025.

This is in response to the continuing effects of Tropical Depression “Mirasol” and the approaching Super Typhoon “Nando”, as per advisories from PAGASA.

⚠️ The measure aims to ensure the safety and protection of lives and properties by minimizing risks, enabling emergency response, and ensuring preparedness of the communities.

👉 Essential services such as healthcare, disaster response, law enforcement, rescue and evacuation, and other critical operations will continue to operate to safeguard public welfare.
