Milton is growing. Let's make sure it grows right.

I'm running for Mayor because I believe our best days are still ahead and I've spent 8 years building the experience to lead us there.

Serving Milton means understanding policing, housing, the environment, and community services. It means knowing how regional and national decisions land right here on our streets.

Over 8 years, I've served on 14 boards and committees. That's 14 rooms where decisions get made and I've been in every one of them, working for you.

Together, we can build a new Milton. Your Milton.

Meet Sameera Ali, candidate for Mayor of Milton. A new generation of leadership focused on affordability, safe communities, and building the Milton of tomorrow.

On May 6th I attended the Milton Link information session and had a chance to speak with many residents who came out to share their concerns.

I heard you loud and clear, concerns about truck traffic, greenhouse gas emissions, and the strain this project could place on our infrastructure are valid and important.

I also listened carefully to the presentation from Mathews, particularly the emphasis on job creation. Supporting local employment matters to me. But after looking more closely, many of the proposed jobs appear to be front-line roles that are increasingly being impacted by automation and AI.

I want residents to know that nothing is moving forward right now. There are still many municipal processes ahead, including a boundary expansion which will be a council decision.

I am committed to being a true voice for our community, and I genuinely value your feedback on this matter.

Please feel free to email your thoughts to [email protected]. I am compiling resident feedback to share directly with staff so they clearly understand the concerns, priorities, and perspectives of the residents.

Tonight I had the pleasure of attending 'KALA-Colours of South Asia' celebrating 10 years of the South Asian Mommies of Milton.

It was a beautiful evening of art, storytelling, and connection. This year’s theme, 'Kshan' - "a fleeting moment, yet profound” was a powerful reminder of how the moments, stories, and experiences we share shape our community.

Art is such an important form of expression. It brings people together, preserves culture, and gives voice to stories that deserve to be told.

Thank you to the South Asian Mommies of Milton for all you do to build community and support families across Milton.

With Mother’s Day around the corner, it was especially meaningful to celebrate the strength and creativity of so many incredible mothers. 💐

Today, I made it official.

I’ve filed my nomination papers to run for the Mayor of Milton.

This community has given me so much, and I’ve spent my time on council working to keep up with the pace of change, pushing for the kind of progress people are asking for today.

But we all know Milton has grown, and it’s time our leadership grows with it.

This campaign is about where we go next, together.

We’re building a new Milton. Your Milton.

On this Easter Sunday, I want to extend warm wishes to all those in our community who are celebrating.

Easter is a meaningful time centered on hope, renewal, and new beginnings. It’s a reminder that even in challenging moments, there is always the possibility of light, growth, and fresh starts.

In a community like ours, these shared values of compassion, kindness, and supporting one another continue to bring us together and strengthen the bonds we share.

Wishing you and your loved ones a joyful and peaceful Easter filled with hope and renewal!

Great news for sustainability in Milton! 🌱

The Sustainable Milton Repair Café has received a $2,000 grant thanks to support from Halton Region's Community Circular Economy Fund.

A big thank you to the Burlington Repair Café and Lawson Hunter for helping expand repair café initiatives across Halton and supporting Town of Milton ’s growing program.

Small actions like repairing and reusing go a long way in building a more sustainable community! ♻️

Our new District 1 facility is coming along fine!

Construction is now in its final stages, with interior work like flooring, painting, and ceiling installation nearing completion. Mechanical and electrical systems are being commissioned, and teams are working hard to keep everything on track.

While winter weather delayed some exterior work, that hasn’t impacted the overall timeline — and the project remains on course for occupancy by June 2026. Over the coming months, we’ll see IT systems installed, furniture moved in, and the facility prepared for full operations.

This is an exciting milestone for our growing community. A modern, well-equipped facility will help support public safety and ensure our officers have the resources they need to serve Milton effectively.

Looking forward to seeing this project come to life! 👏
