6 Canadian soldiers killed
Six Canadian soldiers and an interpreter were killed today by a roadside bomb in southern Afghanistan, Canadian Forces Brigadier-General Tim Grant has confirmed.

Cpl. Cole Bartsch (top left), Captain Matthew Johnathan Dawe (top right), Private Lane Watkins (bottom left) and Master Cpl. Colin Bason (bottom right), were killed on July 4, 2007, along with two other Canadian Forces members and one Afghan interpreter, when the vehicle they were traveling in struck an improvised explosive device, approximately 20km southwest of Kandahar City in Afghanistan
