Happy Saturday, Blue Streaks! The spring semester has finally come to an end, and this upcoming weekend marks commencement for both the undergraduate and graduate students here at John Carroll University. In honor of this special occasion, take a look back at previous alumni enjoying this important milestone! More images of commencement and commencement programs can be viewed in the display located on the third floor of the Grasselli Library!

Happy Friday, Blue Streaks! We invite you to take a look back at a building that once existed on our campus—the Bohannon Science Center. Built in 1968 through the generosity of Mr. James A. Bohannon, president of the Peerless Motor Company, it served the university until it was replaced by the newly built Dolan Science Center. The building was demolished in 2011 and once stood where construction for the ongoing Gateway North project is now taking place. Take a look!

The John Carroll University Archives at Grasselli Library and Breen Learning Center is a treasure trove of JCU memories. We’re on a mission to digitize our collections so students and alumni can explore our university’s history with just a click.

We have a goal of 26 donors for the 2026 JCU Day of Giving to help us purchase the high-tech tools needed to preserve our one-of-a-kind photographs and documents.

Every gift, no matter the size, helps us protect the story of John Carroll.

Happy Founder’s Day, Blue Streaks!

Founded in 1886, John Carroll University began as Saint Ignatius College on Cleveland’s West Side. In 1932, it officially moved to the East Side—the campus we know and love today.

As we celebrate this anniversary, we invite you to take a look back at John Carroll through the decades!
