Moderate Republicans The moderate majority of the Republican Party that embraces small government, social equality, fiscal conservatism, common sense and a strong military.

'Moderate Republican' has somehow become an insult in the past several elections, despite the undeniable successes this key group has achieved. Ronald Reagan, who would be chastised by modern radical conservatives, followed the same principles that moderate republicans follow now in building a stable economy, restoring our nation's military might, protecting the constitution, ensuring equality and

practicing fiscal responsibility; all without delving into petty social arguments or playing into rhetoric. Abraham Lincoln led our nation through its darkest hours, prevailing under a nationalist platform, one that all Americans could stand behind. A moderate who bridged the political divide to create the 13th Amendment, eradicate slavery with the Emancipation Proclamation and save our nation. All ideals that would be seen as moderate in modern times. Moderates are what pushed this country to success in the past and are the only hope for the nation and the Republican Party in the future.
