It’s that time of year when rehabbers start to get the most calls for raccoons. Raccoons are out and about for numerous reasons right now (finding food, mates, safe places to give birth). Please be cautious while driving and keep your eye out for hormonal, hungry raccoons. 🦝

With 15 baby raccoons and 2 baby skunks in my care I HAVE to be closed. I simply cannot provide adequate care to others, including myself if I keep taking in babies. I know other rehabbers have many more babies than I do right now but we are all drowning. We don't get paid to rehab. It's all out of pocket or from generous donors. I also have a baby raccoon who has been costing me a lot of money because she has been having breathing issues. I need to focus on the babies I currently have.

At this time I am full on baby raccoons. I am not taking anymore squirrels this year. I can accept orphaned baby skunks and fox kits.

First baby skunk of the season has arrived. This tiny little girl is warming up and then we will work on rehydration. She requires a different diet than the raccoons. If anyone would like to donate towards her care, this sweet little stink bug would greatly appreciate it ❤️🦨

Mia, Raven, Gidget, Sully and Ranger are spending their first night outside. Please keep them in your thoughts. They are nervous but I know they will get used to it. This is a pre pre-release enclosure. They will get moved to a bigger one with their friends once we finish building it ❤️🦝

Baby Uno went to the vet today to get an antibiotic injection. He had a little cough and we weren't sure if it's related to losing his eye or what so we just wanted to be safe. He is eating great and is very playful and vocal. He does tend to walk in circles since he obviously can only see out of one eye. But he will learn to adapt. 🫶🏻🦝❤️

Skye has been having breathing issues so we did laser therapy on her lungs and she got to be a real Guardian of the Galaxy 🥰🦝

Baby Uno weighed in at 405 grams. He is significantly smaller than his siblings but he is eating well and should fatten up in no time. His good eye seems to be cloudy but I am treating it. I'm hoping he's not blind in that eye but I will love him regardless. ❤️
