Ngayong National Heroes Day, binibigyang pugay ng Tara, Basa! Program ang bawat na nagsasabuhay ng diwa ng kabayanihan sa makabagong panahon.

Sa kanilang sakripisyo at pagbabahagi ng oras at talento, natutugunan ang mga problemang panlipunan tulad ng illiteracy. Sa kanilang puso sa paglilingkod ay mas napatatatag ang bawat pamilyang Pilipino.

Ang itinakdang Php1,503.84 kada kahon ng prepacked FFP ay ang maximum price na pwedeng i-presyo ng mga interesadong bidders o suppliers.

Sa naturang bidding, ang “2 Go Global International Corporation” ang may pinakamurang presyo na Php797.80 bawat kahon ng FFP na prepacked.

Dumadaan sa “competitive bidding” ng DSWD ang lahat ng procurement ng family food packs kung saan ang may LOWEST price bid offer at COMPLIANT sa mga specifications at iba pang requirements ang idinideklarang Bid Winner.

Kabilang sa Php797.80 halaga ng prepacked family food pack ang delivery cost, manpower at ang mga sumusunod:

Para kay Mark Jay Lloyd Lamanilao, isang Tutor ng Tara, Basa! Program ng Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga, naging bahagi ang programa ng kanyang paglalakbay tungo sa pagtatapos ng kanyang pag-aaral at pagkamit ng kanyang diploma.

For Mark Jay Lloyd Lamanilao, a Tutor of the Tara, Basa! Program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga**,** the program became part of his journey toward completing his education and reaching graduation.

While helping young learners through the tutoring sessions, Mark Jay Lloyd was also able to pursue his own educational goals with the Cash-for-Work assistance provided by the program after completing the 20-day tutoring sessions. His experience highlights how opportunities and assistance can help young people continue their studies and work toward achieving their aspirations.

For him, the opportunity was a reminder that support can make a meaningful difference in a student’s journey, especially when it helps them continue pursuing their education and work toward their ambitions.

TINGNAN | Isinagawa ng DSWD Field Office 1 - Ilocos Region Tara, Basa! Tutoring Program - Regional Program Management Office (DSWD FO 1-TBTP - RPMO) ang Capability Building Activities para sa mga Tutors at Youth Development Workers (TYDWs) noong August 17-20 para sa rollout ng Tara, Basa! Sa Barrio sa Anda at Bolinao, Pangasinan, at Naguilian, La Union.

Layunin ng pagsasanay na ito na linangin ang kasanayan ng mga TYDWs sa tulong ng mga trainers mula sa Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), Department of Education (DepEd), at Local Government Units (LGUs). Nakatutok ang mga session sa epektibong pagtuturo sa pagbasa, paggamit ng assessment tools, at paggabay sa mga bata at magulang sa komunidad.

Sa loob ng 20 araw ng paglilingkod bilang Youth Development Worker sa Tara, Basa! Program, naranasan ni Diomer C. Pamalaran, isang estudyante ng Social Work sa Colegio de Kapatagan, Lanao del Norte, ang mga pagkakataong higit na nagpalapit sa kanya sa tunay na kahulugan ng paglilingkod.

Ang kanyang karanasan sa programa ay naging mahalagang bahagi ng kanyang pagkatuto bilang isang estudyante at magiging social worker. Higit pa sa mga gawain at responsibilidad, naunawaan niya ang tunay na halaga ng pagmamalasakit, pagbibigay ng oras, at tapat na paglilingkod para sa kapwa.

Kini nga kasinatian dili lamang usa ka pahina sa iyang kinabuhi isip estudyante, kondili usa ka importante nga lakang nga nagpalig-on sa iyang pangandoy nga mahimong social worker nga adunay kasingkasing ug andam motubag sa mga panginahanglan sa komunidad.

Labaw pa sa kahibalo ug kasinatian, ang Tara, Basa! Program nahimong dalan sa paghulma sa kabatan-onan nga mas matinabangon, responsable, ug adunay kasingkasing alang sa pagserbisyo sa komunidad.

TINGNAN | Nagpatuloy ang Tara, Basa! Tutoring Program National Program Management Office (TBTP NPMO) sa data gathering activities sa Region XII bilang bahagi ng isinasagawang Program Assessment, kasama ang mga magulang, batang benepisyaryo, kabataang benepisyaryo, at iba pang stakeholders ng programa sa Cotabato Province.

Nagsagawa ang assessment team ng face-to-face survey interviews at focus group discussions kasama ang mga magulang upang mabigyan sila ng pagkakataong ibahagi ang kanilang mga karanasan, obserbasyon, at pananaw tungkol sa pagpapatupad ng Tara, Basa! Tutoring Program.

TINGNAN | May kabuuang ₱16,438,305 na financial assistance ang naipamahagi ng Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office V–Bicol Region, sa pamamagitan ng Tara, Basa! Program, sa 1,352 youth partner-beneficiaries sa mga lugar na nagpapatupad ng programa sa Bicol Region.

Saklaw ng financial assistance ang tatlong pangunahing bahagi ng programa: Cash-for-Work, Meal Allowance, at Cash-for-Training. Ibinibigay ang mga suportang ito sa mga kwalipikadong college student upang makatulong sa ilan sa kanilang gastusin habang ipinagpapatuloy ang kanilang pag-aaral, habang nabibigyan din sila ng pagkakataong magkaroon ng makabuluhang karanasan sa pamamagitan ng community service.

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office V-Bicol Region, through the Tara, Basa! Program, has distributed a total of ₱16,438,305 in financial subsidies to 1,352 youth partner-beneficiaries across its implementing areas in the Bicol Region.

The financial assistance covers three key components of the program: cash-for-work, meal allowance, and cash-for-training. These forms of support are provided to eligible college students to help ease some of the financial challenges they face while pursuing their education, while also giving them opportunities to gain meaningful experience through community service.

From May 11 to June 5, 2026, the 20-day implementation engaged qualified students from Education, Social Work, and other allied courses as Tutors and Youth Development Workers (YDWs). The Tutors provided reading literacy interventions to early-grade struggling readers, while the YDWs facilitated parenting sessions for the parents and guardians of participating learners.

Prior to the 20-day implementation, the youth partner-beneficiaries underwent a five-day Capacity Building activity to strengthen their knowledge and prepare them for their respective roles. Through the activity, they received cash-for-training equivalent to the regional minimum wage, along with a meal allowance of ₱ 300 per day. Upon completion of the Capacity Building, they received a total of ₱3,750 in cash-for-training and meal allowance.

During the 20-day implementation, the youth partner-beneficiaries also received a daily cash-for-work rate of ₱435 for their service as Tutors and YDWs.

Across the Bicol Region, the program released a total of ₱11,550,805 in cash-for-training and meal allowances, while providing a total of ₱4,887,810 in cash-for-work assistance.

For its second-year implementation, the Tara, Basa! Program released financial subsidies through LandBank Piso Plus accounts to college students in its various implementing areas: 207 in Daraga, Albay; 150 in Libmanan, Camarines Sur; 189 in Bulan, Sorsogon; 219 in Legazpi City, Albay; 259 in Naga City, Camarines Sur; 93 in Virac, Catanduanes, and 236 in Sorsogon City, Sorsogon.

More than financial support, the Tara, Basa! Program continues to provide young people with opportunities to apply what they learn, serve their communities, and become active partners in building a stronger future for Filipino children and families.

TINGNAN: Paghahanda para sa implementasyon ng Tara, Basa! Program sa Negros Island Region (NIR), nagsimula na!

Nagsagawa ng Consultation Workshop at Action Planning sa Siquijor State College (SSC) sa Siquijor, Martes, Agosto 25, 2026 bilang bahagi ng social preparation para sa pagpapalawak ng Tara, Basa! Program sa Negros Island Region (NIR).

Layunin ng workshop na ipakilala ang Tara, Basa! Program at talakayin ang mga inaasahang gampanin ng bawat partner office at mga hakbangin para sa pagpapalawak ng programa sa taong 2027.

Ang nasabing aktibidad ay pinangunahan nina Assistant Regional Director for Administration (ARDA) Erlyn Garcia at Tara, Basa! NPMO Program Implementation Division Chief Jose Ramil Reyes. Dumalo rin sa social preparation workshop ang mga kinatawan ng SSC, Department of Education (DepEd) - School Division Office (SDO), Pamahalaang Panlalawigan ng Siquijor, at mga Lokal na Pamahalaan ng Siquijor, Larena, Enrique Villanueva, Lazi, at Maria.

Isang pagpupulong din ang isinagawa kasama ang mga kinatawan ng Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Provincial Federation at Provincial Youth Development Office upang magkaroon ng karagdagang kaalaman ukol sa mga kinakaharap ng mga Kabataan sa Siquijor.

TINGNAN | Umabot sa 360 kabataang benepisyaryo na nagsilbing Tutors at Youth Development Workers (YDWs) sa Pasay City, Pateros, Parañaque City, at Pasig City ang nakatanggap ng kanilang incentives na may kabuuang halagang ₱4,989,405 o 100% disbursement.
