Happy Mocha Monday!

Our independent queen is more than happy to serve up her own snacks when the humans are busy. Sometimes a girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do.

From sick, mangey foxes struggling to survive, to healthy, beautiful, and running free.

After weeks of treatment, good nutrition, supportive care, and time to rest, these foxes were finally ready for the moment we had all been waiting for.

The photo in this reel was taken a day before their release. The difference from intake to now is astonishing.

Go be wild, little foxes. You’ve got this!🦊❤️

Coming out of anesthesia is rough stuff! But we’re happy to report our juvenile raccoon’s tail is healing very well! Hopefully, he has learned his lesson on rough play, but we are guessing absolutely not.

For fox sake, look who’s almost ready to go home!

These two Red foxes have spent time with us recovering from mange, and this week they finally get to go home!

We’re pretty sure they’re ready to see the last of us, and that’s exactly how we like it.

Happy Mocha Monday.

POV: day in the life of our chaos queen. Someone’s gotta get that work in.

Remember the sweet girl who was caught in a trap and left for 6 days?

6 days without the ability to seek out basic needs for survival. She managed to survive 6 days on rain water, which is nothing short of remarkable.

Today, we caught this sweet girl sneaking out for a special snack. It may not seem like much, but for an animal who has been through so much, feeling safe enough to seek her food are steps worth celebrating.

She still has some growing up to do before her release, but we are incredibly grateful she was given a second chance.

Reminder: if you use a live trap, it must be checked frequently. A trapped animal is completely dependent on the person who set it. Never set a trap and abandon the animal caught in it.

Our Eastern box turtle patients (and Sweet Potato 🐢) enjoy their daily soaks.

Regular soaking is an important part of supportive care for many of the turtles that come through rehabilitation. It helps them keep hydrated and gives us a chance to closely monitor how everyone is doing.

Sweet Potato, of course, is here to show off the proper spa soaking technique; the girl loves her soaks!

Happy National Wildlife Day, from Harmony Wildlife!

These are just a few of the lives that have come through our doors. Some sick, some injured, some orphaned, and every single one deserved a second chance.

Today, we celebrate all the incredible wildlife we are all so fortunate to share our communities with.

They don’t need to be pets to be loved.
They don’t need to be tame to matter.
They just need a second chance to help them stay wild.
