CITY AT WORK: WATER UNIT WEEKLY RECAP
The Water Unit concluded another productive week of service delivery interventions aimed at ensuring reliable water supply, maintaining infrastructure, and improving service delivery across communities within Rustenburg.
Throughout the week, teams attended to a range of maintenance and repair activities, including the repair of water leaks, replacement of damaged pipes, maintenance of valves and hydrants, and the restoration of water supply in affected areas. These interventions were undertaken to minimise water losses, improve system efficiency, and ensure uninterrupted access to water for residents.
The unit also conducted routine inspections and preventative maintenance on water infrastructure to identify potential challenges before they impact service delivery. In addition, response teams remained on standby to address reported water-related faults and emergencies across various wards.
The municipality continues to encourage residents to report water leaks, burst pipes, and other water-related issues promptly to assist in preserving this valuable resource and ensuring timely repairs.
The Rustenburg Local Municipality remains committed to providing sustainable and reliable water services through the City at Work programme, contributing to improved living conditions and the wellbeing of all communities.
Together, we are building a responsive, efficient, and service-oriented municipality.
