Rescue HAITI Movement's purpose is to gather a group of Haitian thinkers around a set of actionable ideas to change the narrative of our homeland. We will define our core principles and pledge to abide by these principles who can only be rooted in the sustainable development goal of our motherland, Haiti. Your participation in this forum gives us implicit right to incorporate your ideas shared in this page into our final plan, as we deem necessary. The plan will be presented in the form of a book that will serve as a guide for the future actors in the political field to implement. We insist on the word future actors as we will not be associated with nor will we endorse any current active political party in Haiti as of 2019. We will endeavor to ensure that all our ideas answer the following questions "who, what, when, where, why and how", in no particular order. If it cannot answer these questions , then it is not worth sharing in this platform.
Here are a list of questions we would like to address here:
1. What are the resources of Haiti?
2. How can we maximize the values of our resources to help with the development of our country?
3. How do we successfully educate our population with our limited resources?
4. What system of Government do we need?
5. How do we create stronger state and local institutions that address the needs of our people?
6. What standards do we need in areas of: governance, infrastructure, habitat, healthcare system, tourism, transportation, agriculture, political discourse, etc..
7. What do we need our country to be known for? (Give a slogan. for example: Pays des hommes integres (Burkina Faso))
Obviously, there are many more questions to answer. They will surface as the forum becomes more popular.
