May is Mental Health Awareness Month. Did you know there are people and organizations to talk to if you need the support, or just someone to listen? You are not alone.

As 9-1-1 Telecommunicators we take thousands of calls a year about people in crisis, we are here to answer the call. Washington state also has the new 9-8-8 Su***de Prevention number rolling out July 2022. In the mean time you can still reach out and talk to someone at 1-800-273-8255. You are not alone, reach out and let someone assist you.

Today is the day to celebrate Mexican heritage and culture in the U.S. The fact that we also get to eat amazing food on this day in celebration is a bonus!

Did you know that you don't have to speak English to call 9-1-1? Some of our communications centers have 9-1-1 Telecommunicators who speak other languages fluently and are there to assist you, however, all of them have access 24/7 to translation services. So that means if you are more comfortable speaking in any language other than English, we are able to help you in your time of need.
