Lois Ward for Ward 10 I’m a Forest City business owner and, for close to twenty years, have both rented and owned a house in my chosen community of Westmont.

I am running to be your next Ward 10 City Councilor. I believe in a future we can love!

So many great speakers in the group. A very useful and heart-filled day of discussion and learning.

This is happening today! Great weather and a chance to see artists in action, immersed in their element. This is a chance to talk with them about the process and their life as an artist.

I know this artist well, as she was an employee way back when I had a hand-made, Earth friendly decor business. She did some designs with unused ink after work when she was cleaning up and using the gorgeous fabric to make quilts. Now Mik Stevens is a print and bead artist and I am so happy for her successes. Congratulations, Mik!

I just returned from the Nature London Volunteer Social evening and met a bunch of long time and new members that keep the organization running smoothly. They had news on a new website, online membership registration and changing of the guard as current board members and various initiative leaders move on to different activities. I was there because I have been participating in the Chimney Swift Monitoring Program here in London for about three years. I got to meet fellow monitors who I have not yet had the chance of being paired with.

Meet us in the meadow on June 13th for our annual celebration of some of the most beautiful and beloved insects around - butterflies!

Drop in on this free event at Meadowlily Nature Preserve in London to learn about how to use a net to catch butterflies, carefully observe and identify them, and then let them return to the meadow with butterfly expert, Dr. Nusha Keyghobadi, and her students from Western University.

While you're here, check out our activity tents to make wildflower seed balls, play games, make crafts, and learn more about the butterflies of southern Ontario.
All ages are welcome to join! We’d love for you to come by and take this the perfect opportunity to get outside and have some family fun.

Check out our website for more information!

This event is made possible with the generous support of the City of London City of London, Ontario - Municipal Government

Here's a very interesting way to view and put words to how money and a healthy economy works like a circulatory system in a human body, in a tree and in ecosystems to create and distribute nutrients and energy in continuous movement. Lack of health means that nutrients (a.k.a. money) pool in one place and make the rest of the system sick (the economy).
