Yokota First Sergeants hosted a midnight BBQ last week for the over 275 Airmen who work overnight. This was an event to recognize and show appreciation to those who work nights and may otherwise miss out on events across the base, typically hosted during the daytime. The mission never stops and neither does the support for our most valuable asset — our Airmen! Thank you for all you do, we value and appreciate you all!

The Yokota AB First Sergeants participated in the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb today 🔷🇺🇸

22 years have passed since the terrorist attacks that heartbreakingly killed 2,977 of our brothers and sisters, 412 of those who died were brave first responders who worked diligently to rescue as many civilians as possible, tirelessly climbing 110 flights of stairs in The World Trade Centers.

MSgt Carly Smith, First Sergeant for 374 MDG was the guest speaker during the 9/11 opening ceremony — reminding us the importance of standing united and fighting for this great country to ensure the battle is never brought to our doorstep again!

Our very own Sandra Giddens was promoted from master sergeant to senior master sergeant.

Today more than 45 NCOs and Officers graduated from the Yokota First Sergeant Symposium.

Their final event was a group PT session.

Today we participated in the 9/11 stair climb in honor of the first responders who lost their lives on Sept. 11, 2001 🙏🏾. We completed 110 stories as that was the height of each World Trade Center building. #🇺🇸

💎Today’s Yokota Diamond Sharp award goes to A1C Zachary Smith from the 374th SFS. 💎

A1C Smith volunteered at the mental health ward supporting one of our dependent children in need. Overtime they built a strong bond and he became a friend and mentor to the dependent child. The bond became so strong that they stay connected and when the member was able to transfer to a stateside facility for additional help, A1C Smith was his first choice as a non medical attendent. A1C Smith gladly accepted the request and ensured a smooth transition for the member. We received a special thank you note from the dependents mother thanking A1C Smith for the impact he made in her child’s life. ❤️

Congrats again to A1C Smith ! 💎🫡
