WAMAINA WATER CURBS DRY SPELL

sublocation is the latest beneficiary of water supply from the new Wamaina water scheme. Residents on a 5km stretch were glad for the timely supply during this dry period, especially the elderly who had water taps fixed at their doorsteps.

Special appreciation to Vihiga County *Governor* and more so the area MCA Hon Hellam da Rock for fast tracking the success of the scheme.

NORTH EAST BUNYORE HAS BEST ECDE STRUCTURES

During ECDE classrooms commissioning in Ilungu Primary, the area MCA Hon Hellam da Rock played host to the county Governor Hon Ottichilo. The governor lauded the MCA for ensuring construction of highest standard and most spacious ECDE structures so far. He added that Agricultural Institute in Musinaka will be complete and operational before the end the term apart from supplying more water within the ward.

The good working relationship between the MCA and the Governor has seen the ward experience so much development since the beginning of devolution, with more under the pipeline.

In attendance was the Deputy governor Hon Kitiezo, CECM Education, central bunyore ward MCA Hon Tirrah, Emuhaya DCC, local administration among other dignitaries

NEB ward MCA Hon Hellam da Rock spent the best part of the day with the youth at for an entrepreneurial talk, furnishing them on readily available opportunities and how to maneuver in the business market.

This is after condoling with bereaved families of the late Jedida and late Jamin from (Musitoyi) and respectively.

He highlighted the two year positive progress in conjuction with County government in sectors like education that has seen construction of ten modern ECDE classes, water, roads, agriculture, bills at the assembly among others.

Together with the area assistant chief and other mourners, I checked on the families of our residents who perished in a fire tragedy in Nairobi. It is still difficult for the families to comprehend these happenings that took away lives of Harry and his sister Yvonne, alongside other souls, a few months after an accident hitting their dad and making it difficult for him to take care of the family.

Harrison was rising steadily in Nairobi, as he had promised to drastically change the state of the family, as stated by his sister.

Let's continue praying for these souls, and the families at large for comfort. We stand together in all aspects.

HAND SHAKE.

I have looked at the MOU between our president and leader of ODM, who is also the incoming Prime minister, as he has been addressed by all who were present in today's function.

The MOU had 11 points but am stuck on point number one, which carries all the weight of this MOU. It states '1. Full implementation of the NADCO report.'

Now in brief, the NADCO report was signed in 2024 by Kalonzo Musioka of Azimio and Kimani Ichungwa of Kenya kwanza. It has 5 major points

1. Audit of Electoral process of 2022. It involves restructure and reconstitution of IEBC, Elongation of time for petition of presidential election and electoral legal reforms.

2. Cost of living which was not fully agreed upon, however suggested reduction of tax from 16 to 8 percent, reduction of travel budget as well as DSA for state officers by 50 and 30 percent respectively, equitable share to counties be raised to 20 from 15 percentage of total revenue collected among others.

3. Entrancing of funds into constitution eg NGCDF, NGAAF, Senate oversight fund as well as WDF.

4. ESTABLISHMENT AND ENTRENCHMENT OF STATE OFFICERS. This includes Prime minister to be nominated by the president after approval by the National assembly, office of leader of opposition and two deputies.

5. Fidelity to the law on multiparty democracy by formation of another independent body for registration of political parties in Kenya with their officials.

The big question is, is it possible to achieve all the above without a referendum?

Maoni tu, but there is a lot in store. Kenya we are united and we love each other.

I continue walking with my people.

Today, I joined Ebusiratsi welfare in funds drive to aid in registration and running of Musiakhupa primary school. We are determined to see these new schools on their feet, to ease pressure in existing schools and pull other resources to their respective areas including but not limited to water, roads network and electricity. Next attention is Eluyeka primary.

Chief Guest Hon. Milemba led a host of other guests through their representatives. Thanks to the community, leaders and other stakeholders.

I also condoled with berieved families across the ward through our reps in burial of pastor Zablon Ateyu in Eluhobe, Ofuyo in Esibuye, Grace in Emusutswi and Stanley Ndogo in Emmutonyi Emuhondo sublocation. May God continue strengthening these families as he receive the souls of his departed faithfuls. Happy new month.
