He emphasized the importance of remembering the sacrifices of Filipino heroes and reflecting these values through service, unity, and active participation in community development. He highlighted that honoring the past also means taking responsibility in building a better future for the next generation.

He further stressed that independence carries with it a duty to the people, encouraging the youth to continue the legacy of heroism through meaningful involvement in nation-building and community service.

This was the message of Vice Mayor Ligaya T. Uy as she honored the outstanding Bobonanon youth athletes whose achievements have brought pride and recognition to the municipality. She highlighted that their hard work, discipline, perseverance, and dedication in sports serve as an inspiration to fellow young people and reflect the potential of Bobonanon youth to excel at higher levels of competition.

The recognition formed part of the municipalityโ€™s celebration of the 128th Philippine Independence Day, honoring both the nationโ€™s heroes and the achievements of today's youth.

The Local Government Unit of Bobon under the leadership of Mayor Reny A. Celespara joined the nation in commemorating the 128th Philippine Independence Day through a flag-raising ceremony and program celebrating patriotism, unity, and national pride.

Present during the activity were Municipal Vice Mayor Hon. Ligaya T. Uy, Members of the Sangguniang Bayan, Punong Barangays, SK Chairpersons, LGU employees, Bobon District School Heads, representatives from Asia College, MLGOO Jorge B. Durom, personnel from the BFP and PNP, and the Bobonanon athletes who participated in the Palarong Pambansa.

The program was highlighted by the recognition and awarding of Bobonanon athletes who proudly represented the municipality and brought honor to Bobon through their outstanding performance in the Palarong Pambansa.

Their achievements reflect the dedication, discipline, and excellence of the youth, serving as an inspiration to the entire community as we celebrate the values of freedom, patriotism, and national pride.
