Happy Pride Month! 🌈

I am honored to be the sponsor for this year’s Pride Proclamation in Hays County. This month, we celebrate the beauty of being yourself and the courage it takes to live authentically. Every person deserves to be seen, valued, respected, and loved for who they are.

May we be reminded to lead with kindness, embrace one another with compassion, and continue building communities where everyone feels they belong. Everyone is worthy of love, dignity, and acceptance.

What a huge win for Hays County!

Yesterday’s Court of Appeals decision is wonderful news for Hays County and, most importantly, for the residents who overwhelmingly supported investing in our future.

This is especially exciting news for eastern Hays County and the residents of Precincts 1 and 2, where many of these long-needed investments will help improve safety, connectivity, and economic opportunity. For too long, these communities have waited for infrastructure to catch up with growth. This decision helps ensure those improvements can move forward.

Most importantly, the court affirmed what we have believed all along: the will of the voters matters. Tens of thousands of Hays County residents made their voices heard at the ballot box, and yesterday’s decision honors that choice.

Now we can get back to work building the roads and infrastructure our residents approved and our communities need.
