The Municipality of Isabel, through the Office of the Municipal Civil Registrar in partnership with the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), launched the LGU-Isabel PSA Caravan this morning at the Galicano N. Ruiz Center. The two-day activity, scheduled from May 14 to 15, 2026, offers on-site printing of SECPA copies and National ID registration to bring essential government services closer to the people.

The opening activity was attended by Mayor Bennett Pongos, Vice Mayor Adam Fuentes, LCR Department Head Noel Gubalane, PSA officials and staff, and local government personnel. Municipal officials emphasized the importance of accessible civil registration services in ensuring that residents are properly documented and connected to government programs and services.

Residents and local officials of Isabel joined the โ€œCoastal Clean Up Driveโ€ on Thursday, May 7, at 6:00 AM, as part of a simultaneous clean-up activity conducted in all coastal barangays of the municipality. The initiative gathered volunteers, barangay officials, youth groups, LGU-Isabel employees, together with different sectors, organizations, and private sector representatives in a collective effort to promote environmental protection and proper waste management along Isabelโ€™s shorelines.

Among those present were Mayor Bennett Pongos, Vice Mayor Adam Fuentes, and municipal councilors Hon. Rovelson Velmonte and Hon. Noel Banaag, who participated in the activity and encouraged residents to continue supporting programs that protect the environment. Local officials also thanked all participating barangays, organizations, private partners, and volunteers for contributing to the success of the coastal clean-up drive.

The Isabel Municipal Police Station proudly received two awards at the recent MAGPTD (Municipal Association of Government Public Safety and Technical Development) ceremony: Best MAGPTD Best Practice & Contributions and Outstanding Chairmanship, recognizing Isabel for being among the top 10 cities and municipalities. Hon. Noel Banaag, as chairman, and Vice Mayor Adam Fuentes, as vice-chairman, personally received the awards on behalf of the municipality.

Governor Icot and Regional Director PNP 8 PBGen Jason Lawas Capoy were also in attendance to present the awards and honor the individuals behind these accomplishments. These honors highlight the dedication and hard work of the Isabel Municipal Police Station and the local government, inspiring the community to continue striving for excellence in public service for all Isabelanons.
