Goa’s ministers boast that we have superb medical emergency facilities and when it comes to providing best health facilities Goa is on top. Wish this was credible and believable. Several incidents and how this best system responds in time of emergency and when it matters most speaks otherwise. Yesterday a young, newly wed lady who was a pillion rider fell from the motorcycle while the rider was trying to maneuver the pothole filled road and got fatally injured with blood flowing from her brain. Passerby when contacted 108 service , the pathetic and slow manner in which the operator sought details and despite almost four reminder calls there was no timely help for almost an hour. A villager finally took her to hospital in his own car and from there
she was finally taken to GMC by 108, again there were delays at casualty with very thin staff on duty in the labs. In the process this young lady lost her life .
Stop making such claims and people please take care as when it matters most for your life these glorified services are non existent .

Why does Goa Tourism hell bent on a project which no one wants? Siridao beach is one of the safest and small beach frequented by thousands of Goan families for the Summer bath custom that is followed by Goans. We used to spend 3-5 days during our childhood with our families on this beach. Suddenly, there are now barricades and construction throwing all norms of Coastal Zone Management. On top of that, we hear that very soon, Siridao beach will be accorded Blue flag status. Why suddenly such "special attention" to this beach? Provide basic amenities, which are demanded for years- such as washrooms and changing rooms and leave the rest to visitors. Is all the "beutification" going on to provide "exclusive access" and "No disturbance zone" to the VIP who owns the bunglow next to beach? The silence or inaction by VP and MLA looks suspicious...
