The weather looks like it’s going to be nasty tomorrow. If it’s warm and sunny we’ll be out there. If rainy and cold we’ll postpone. 😌

We are ready to get back to work starting April 7th. First Tuesday of the month during the summer we will be cleaning up roadsides starting from the Ferry Terminal. Come out and join us. Look for the red truck😊

We will be back in action soon and will post the date. I was in Horseshoe Bay yesterday and saw something marvelous. Volunteers are putting out butt cans literally everywhere. You can’t miss them. The cans are painted coffee cans and each one I looked into had butts in them. I would like to try that here, especially along the ferry line-up. I would like to collect larger cans, like coffee cans. So if you have any please leave them at 1410 Moby Dick’s Way. I promise to paint and make them look nice😊

I am now taking stryrofoam for a donation to Pet Friends. Drop off anytime at 1410 Moby Dick’s Way. White packing styrofoam only. No blue, packing peanuts, insulation or flexible wrap. Meat trays OK. You can also drop off beverage cans for Pet Friends. Leave a donation in the white bin by the gate.

Trash Tuesday is June 1st. Going to be cleaning up along Lockinvar starting at 9:30. Who wants to join me? Look for the red truck.

Trash Tuesday is tomorrow. Let’s cleanup another trashy section of road between Tin Can Alley and Horseshoe Rd. Grass is high in the ditches so bring grabbers or a good stick. My red truck will be parked at the bottom of the road at Horseshoe. Remember you gloves. Let me know if you will be part of the group tomorrow.

I got busy and just realized that tomorrow is Trash Tuesday. Got my shot yesterday and my arm is sore (but happy). So I would like to move our effort to next Tuesday, the 10th, starting at 9am. I’m suggesting collecting between Tin Can Alley and Horseshoe Rd. There is now a nice growth of greenery now so you will need a stick to poke around. There is plenty of trash - I checked it out. Please let me know if you plan to join us next Tuesday or if you will be collecting somewhere else. If so please send pictures of your haul. Cheers.

I want to say we only picked up 3 errant masks. Because they are light weight and we all now have a collection they are easy to lose. Falling out of pockets, open car doors etc. I don’t think people are just willfully throwing them out.

Lou Skinner joined me this morning. I centrated my efforts on the slope down to the water. This took about two hours. A beautiful morning to be de-trashing.
