LGU TIGBAUAN recently recognized the efforts and commitment of Energy Efficiency and Conservation Office to promote clean and affordable energy in the Municipality of Tigbauan in line with the thrust of the Department of Energy during the LGU Awards Night 2026 held at the Tigbauan Sports Arena last January 12, 2026.
Receiving the Plaque of Recognition and Cash Incentives are MR. JAY E. TILOS, EEC Officer, MR. ELMER TORRICO, EEC Focal Person and MS. SHEENA MARIE ENGALLADO, EEC Coordinator.

The Energy Efficiency and Conservation Office (EECO) conducted the first Ultimate Energy Quiz Bee in celebration of the National Energy Consciousness Month 2025 held at the Tigbauan Sports Arena.

Joined by 11 Secondary Schools in Tigbauan, students showcased impressive knowledge, sportsmanship and deep dive into energy solutions.⚡🔋

A huge congratulations to the brilliant minds who rose to the top in the quest for energy knowledge. 🎖️Cordova National High School declared as champion, 🥇Tigbauan National High School as the 1st runner-up, and 🥈Dapdap National High School as the 2nd.

Day of fun, learning and inspiration, reinforcing commitment to energy education!

Tuwing panahon ng kalamidad tulad ng bagyo, kailangang maging maingat sa paggamit ng kuryente upang maiwasan ang sakuna.

𝑺𝑨 𝑷𝑨𝑵𝑨𝑯𝑶𝑵 𝑵𝑮 𝑩𝑨𝑮𝒀𝑶
✅Kung may anunsyo na ng “TROPICAL CYCLONE WIND SIGNAL,” mag-CHARGE na ng mga cellphone, emergency light, at iba pang device dahil maaring mawalan ng kuryente.

✅Iwasan ang paggamit ng mga appliances kung tag-bagyo. Sa pagdinig ng balita, mas mainam ang paggamit ng de-bateryang radyo.

✅Kung may naka-ambang na pagbaha sa inyong lugar, mainam na i-OFF agad ang MAIN SWITCH at CIRCUIT BREAKER para maiwasan ang disgrasya at pagkasira ng mga ito.

✅I-REPORT agad sa inyong Distribution Utility o barangay ang mga sumasayad na sanga ng puno at iba pang bagay na maaaring makasira sa mga power lines upang maputol o matanggal agad at maiwasan ang sakuna.

✅Bilang paghahanda sa pagbaha, ingatang hindi mabasa o malublob sa tubig ang mga APPLIANCES upang maiwasan ang pagkasira ng mga ito.

✅Kung mawalan ng kuryente, i-UNPLUG ang REFRIGERATOR at iwasan ang pagbukas-sara upang mapanatili ang lamig nito.

✅Hawakan ang PLUG at hindi ang CORD kung bubunutin sa saksakan ang inyong APPLIANCE.

✅Panatilihing tuyo ang katawan at paligid bago hawakan ang kahit anong ELECTRICAL APPLIANCE o gamit upang maiwasang makuryente.

The Energy Efficiency and Conservation Office (EECO), headed by Sir Jay E. Tilos, the EEC Officer, conducts a series of EEC orientations for secondary schools in the municipality, bringing together SSLG officers, teachers, drivers, electricians, and maintenance personnel to strengthen their roles as champions of energy conservation.

This orientation emphasized practical ways to conserve energy in classrooms, offices, and facilities, while also encouraging everyone to serve as models of responsible energy use for students and the community.
