2026 New Year Message to the People of Araromi Alade Kingdom

As we step into the year 2026, I extend warm greetings and heartfelt best wishes to the good people of Araromi Alade Kingdom, our brothers and sisters across Ogun State, Nigeria, and all sons and daughters of the kingdom living across the globe.

May this new year usher in peace, progress, good health, and renewed hope for our land and our people. May unity continue to strengthen us, tradition guide us, and collective purpose drive sustainable development within Araromi Alade Kingdom.

I call on all indigenes at home and in the diaspora to remain committed to the growth of our kingdom—through harmony, mutual respect, and support for initiatives that uplift our community and preserve our rich cultural heritage.

As we journey through 2026 together, may our land experience prosperity, our youths find opportunity, our elders enjoy wisdom and longevity, and our children inherit a future filled with promise.

A moment of gratitude and celebration as we mark the house-warming ceremony of the new residential palace of His Royal Majesty, Oba Adeyemi Akanji Fatai Adelekan- Aladegbade II of Araromi Alade Kingdom.

This magnificent edifice stands as a symbol of heritage, unity, and progress — blending tradition with a clear vision for the future. May this palace be filled with wisdom, peace, and prosperity, and may it continue to serve as a place of guidance and blessing for the people.

The occasion was further honoured by the presence of Olu of Ilaro, Paramount Ruler of Yewa Land and Chairman of the Association of Obas in Ogun State, His Royal Majesty, Dr. Oba Kehinde Gbadewole Olugbenle, who attended as the Special Guest, adding great prestige to the celebration.

🥃 Royal Visit & Distillery Experience at Blair Athol Distillery, Pitlochry

It was a privilege to witness the visit of His Royal Majesty, Oba Adeyemi Akanji Fatai Adelekan- Aladegbade II of Araromi Alade Kingdom and Olori Olubukola Adelekan, to Blair Athol in Pitlochry — a day that beautifully united tradition, culture, and craftsmanship.

During the visit, we also enjoyed a guided tour of the Blair Athol Distillery, where our knowledgeable guide, Alan, walked us through the fascinating whisky-making process — from malting and mashing to fermentation, distillation, and maturation. His engaging explanations brought the rich heritage of Scottish whisky to life, perfectly complementing the royal occasion.

It was a moment of grace, history, and cultural connection as His Royal Majesty Oba Adeyemi Akanji Fatai Adelekan- Aladegbade II of Araromi Alade Kingdom and Olori Olubukola Adelekan visited the magnificent Glamis Castle in Scotland — a place steeped in centuries of royal heritage and the beloved childhood home of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother.

Set against the castle’s timeless architecture and beautiful grounds, the royal couple were warmly welcomed and taken on a guided tour through its storied halls. Their visit symbolised not only a celebration of Scottish and Nigerian heritage but also a deeper bond between two proud traditions rooted in history, respect, and community.

A Memorable Visit to the Scotch Whisky Experience 🥃👑

It was a great honour to accompany His Royal Majesty Oba Adeyemi Akanji Fatai Adelekan- Aladegbade II of Araromi Alade Kingdom during his visit to The Scotch Whisky Experience in Edinburgh— a truly iconic destination that celebrates one of Scotland’s proudest traditions.

Our knowledgeable and friendly guide, Lorna, took us on an insightful journey through the art and science of whisky making — from the careful selection of grains and the distillation process, to the ageing and maturation that give each whisky its unique depth and character.

We also learned about the five main whisky-producing regions of Scotland — Speyside, Highland, Islay, Lowland, and Campbeltown — each renowned for distinct aromas, flavours, and styles. From the smooth and honeyed notes of Speyside to the bold, smoky character of Islay, every region tells its own story through taste.

To round off the experience, we had the pleasure of tasting whiskies from each region, appreciating the subtle nuances that make Scotch whisky such a world-renowned spirit.

It was an afternoon filled with discovery, culture, and appreciation for Scotland’s heritage — a fitting experience for a distinguished guest such as HRM Oba Adeyemi Adelekan. 🇬🇧✨
