The Local Government Unit of San Isidro marked June 1, the first Monday of the month, with its regular Flag Ceremony attended by municipal officials and employees. The gathering served as a meaningful start to the month, fostering unity, discipline, and a renewed commitment to public service.

Mayor Maria Angelica T. Go-Dayanghirang expressed her gratitude to all LGU personnel for their dedication and ongoing efforts in serving the people of San Isidro. She encouraged everyone to uphold excellence, teamwork, and professionalism in carrying out their duties.

As the municipality prepares for the upcoming celebration of the 60th Araw ng San Isidro and 21st Bonsai Festival, the ceremony also served as a reminder of the important role each employee plays in ensuring the success of the festivities and the delivery of efficient government services throughout the celebration period.

Mayor Maria Angelica T. Go-Dayanghirang today announced that the MAGneGOsyo TA! Livelihood Program, which aims to support aspiring entrepreneurs and strengthen small businesses in San Isidro, is now open for applicants.

The program is open to all residents who are interested in starting their own small business, as well as existing business owners looking to expand and improve their livelihood opportunities.

Through this initiative, the local government continues to empower communities and promote sustainable income sources for every San Isidronhon.

Mayor Angel highlighted the importance of creating opportunities for local entrepreneurs, especially individuals and families striving to build stable, long-term livelihoods. The MAGnegosyo Ta! Program demonstrates the administration’s ongoing commitment to inclusive economic growth, community development, and grassroots empowerment.

The initiative also promotes innovation, determination, and self-reliance among residents by providing a platform to share their business ideas and turn them into productive ventures.

"Through livelihood support and community involvement, we hope to create more opportunities to advance San Isidro’s progress," Mayor Angel said.

Submission of business proposals is open from May 28 to June 2, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.. Interested applicants may submit their proposals at the Office of the Mayor.

𝐋𝐆𝐔, 𝐁𝐅𝐀𝐑 𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐬 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐁𝐫𝐠𝐲 𝐓𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐲 𝐟𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐨𝐥𝐤 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩

The local government San Isidro, in partnership with the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR), distributed 10,000 bangus fingerlings to a fisherfolk group in Barangay Talisay for the implementation of the Bangus Marine Fishcage Project.

The fingerlings were distributed to members of the Progressive Organic Farmers and Fisherfolk Towards Ecology Conservation of Talisay (PROFTECT), benefitting 80 people.

The project aims to provide sustainable livelihood opportunities to local fisherfolk while helping increase bangus production in the municipality. Through this initiative, beneficiaries are given additional support to improve their income and strengthen food security in coastal communities.

The distribution of fingerlings is part of the ongoing commitment of the local government under the leadership of Mayor Maria Angelica T. Go-Dayanghirang to empower communities through agriculture and fisheries development programs in collaboration with national government agencies and partner organizations.

The local government of San Isidro continues to work hand in hand with BFAR and community organizations to promote sustainable aquaculture practices and create more opportunities for fisherfolk across the municipality.

𝐒𝐚𝐧 𝐈𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐫𝐨 𝐏𝐄𝐒𝐎 𝐧𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐧

The San Isidro Public Employment Services Office (PESO) was named Champion in the Search for Best PESO (SBP) under the 2nd Class Municipality Category in the Davao Region.

The awards ceremony will be on June 12 in Davao City. This recognition reflects the office’s strong commitment and excellent performance in providing responsive, accessible, and people-centered public employment services.

The announcement was made when the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Davao Oriental Field Office paid a courtesy visit to Mayor Maria Angelica T. Go-Dayanghirang as part of their three-day assessment of the San Isidro PESO.

The assessment team was led by Glenn Louie Banoy, Labor and Employment Officer II and Employment Facilitation Focal Person, along with the DOLE team assigned to evaluate the programs, initiatives, and services of San Isidro PESO.

The activity was aimed at reviewing the office’s implementation of employment facilitation programs, career guidance services, livelihood assistance, and other employment-related initiatives for the residents of San Isidro.

The successful assessment underscores the readiness, dedication, and exemplary service of San Isidro PESO, enhancing the municipality’s reputation as one of the top PESOs in the Davao Region.

The local government of San Isidro remains devoted to creating more employment opportunities and strengthening programs that improve the welfare and livelihoods of every San Isidroanon.
