A jeni një grua e re gazetare ose studente e gazetarisë që dëshiron të forcojë aftësitë profesionale, të zgjerojë rrjetin tuaj profesional dhe të përfitojë udhëzim nga profesionistë me përvojë të medias?

Ju ftojmë të aplikoni për Programin e Mentorimit për Gratë e Reja Gazetare 2026, një mundësi unike e krijuar për të mbështetur gratë në gazetari përmes zhvillimit profesional, forcimit të qëndrueshmërisë profesionale dhe mentorimit.

Kush mund të aplikojë?

• Gratë që aktualisht studiojnë gazetari;
• Gratë e reja gazetare në fillim të karrierës së tyre;
• Gratë e interesuara për të forcuar aftësitë e tyre gazetareske dhe rrjetet profesionale.

Komponentët e Programit

Pjesëmarrëset do të përfitojnë nga:
• Sesione trajnimi profesional të fokusuara në aftësitë gazetareske, qëndrueshmërinë profesionale dhe zhvillimin e karrierës;
• Një program i strukturuar mentorimi që lidh menteet me gazetare dhe profesioniste me përvojë në media;
• Takime individuale mentor–mentee dhe mundësi për të mësuar nga njëra-tjetra;
• Qasje në një rrjet mbështetës të gazetareve dhe ekspertëve të medias.

Struktura e Programit

• 25 gazetare do të marrin pjesë në programin e trajnimit;
• 10 gazetare të reja dhe 10 studente të gazetarisë do të përzgjidhen si mentee në programin e mentorimit;
• Secila mentee do të caktohet me një mentore me përvojë;
• Pjesëmarrëset do të marrin pjesë në pesë sesione mentor–mentee dhe një ngjarje përmbyllëse të përbashkët për rrjetëzim me ekspertë të medias.

• Udhëzim i personalizuar nga gazetare me përvojë;
• Përmirësim i aftësive profesionale dhe praktike në gazetari;
• Rritje e qëndrueshmërisë profesionale dhe vetëbesimit në punën mediale;

Call for Applications: Women Journalists Mentorship Programme 2026

Are you a young woman journalist or a journalism student looking to strengthen your professional skills, expand your network, and receive guidance from experienced media professionals?

We invite applications for the Women Journalists Mentorship Programme 2026, a unique opportunity designed to support women in journalism through professional development, resilience-building, and mentoring.

Who can apply?
• Women currently studying journalism;
• Young women journalists at the beginning of their careers;
• Women interested in strengthening their journalistic skills and professional networks.

Programme Components
Participants will benefit from:
• Professional training sessions focused on journalism skills, resilience, and career development;
• A structured mentorship programme connecting mentees with experienced women journalists and media professionals;
• Individual mentor-mentee meetings and peer-learning opportunities;
• Access to a supportive network of women journalists and media experts.

Programme Structure
• 25 women journalists will participate in the training programme;
• 10 young women journalists and 10 women journalism students will be selected as mentees for the mentorship programme;
• Each mentee will be paired with an experienced mentor;
• Participants will attend five mentor-mentee sessions and one joint closing networking event with media experts.

Pozivamo vas da se prijavite za Program mentorstva za mlade novinarke 2026, jedinstvenu priliku osmišljenu da podrži žene u novinarstvu kroz profesionalni razvoj, jačanje otpornosti i mentorsku podršku.

Ko može da se prijavi?

• Žene koje trenutno studiraju novinarstvo;
• Mlade novinarke na početku svoje karijere;

Učesnice će imati koristi od:

• Svaka učesnica biće povezana sa iskusnom mentorkom;
• Učesnice će prisustvovati na pet mentorskih sesija i jednom zajedničkom završnom događaju za umrežavanje sa medijskim stručnjacima.

🇺🇳UN Under-Secretary-General for Peace Operations Jean-Pierre Lacroix will visit Kosovo on 22 and 23 June. During his visit, Mr. Lacroix will meet with Kosovo senior officials, international partners, civil society partners, and UNMIK colleagues. He will also visit UN-supported project sites.

Discussions will focus on United Nations Peacekeeping, multilateral engagement, and continued support for peace and stability in the region. Following Kosovo, he will travel to Serbia and Bosnia & Herzegovina as part of his regional visit.

🔹At yesterday’s closing event of the UNMIK-supported “Strengthening Women’s Political Engagement and Leadership in Political and Civic Life in Kosovo” project, SRSG Peter Due commended the successful completion of training by 75 participants from diverse communities, enhancing their leadership, communication, and civic participation skills.

🗣️“Your certificates recognize not only what you have achieved, but also your ongoing commitment to leadership and civic engagement. Together, you are helping build a more inclusive future for Kosovo,” SRSG Due said.

💡 Youth Assembly Day Two: From Ideas to Action

The second and final day of the 8th UN Youth Assembly concluded with young leaders from across Kosovo and the Western Balkans presenting initiatives on governance, inclusion, economic opportunities, and mental health.

During “Coffee with Champions,” participants exchanged views directly with leaders and representatives from institutions, civil society, business, sports, arts and culture—bringing young voices closer to the spaces where decisions are made.

Five youth-led, cross-community initiatives were selected to receive UNMIK support, helping turn ideas into action.

📅 On 16 June, the Barabar Centre publicly presented the Trust Index 2026, a study on the state of interethnic relations in Kosovo developed with UNMIK support.

👥 The event brought together approximately 50 representatives of international organizations, civil society, media, and institutions to discuss the report’s findings and their implications for trust-building and interethnic relations.

🗣️ In his opening remarks, the SRSG highlighted the Barabar Centre’s continued contribution to trust-building efforts and the promotion of interethnic dialogue across Kosovo.

🤝 Through its support to the Barabar Centre and initiatives such as the Trust Index, UNMIK remains committed to fostering dialogue, strengthening mutual understanding, and encouraging meaningful engagement among all communities.

As the 8th United Nations Youth Assembly continued in Istog/Istok, SRSG Peter Due visited Mayor Ilir Ferati to discuss how the issues and priorities raised by young people at the Assembly could be reflected at the municipal level.

Their exchange also covered local development priorities, relations among communities, and the importance of inclusive governance and meaningful representation of non-majority communities.

SRSG Due also thanked Mayor Ferati for joining the Assembly’s opening ceremony.

🌍Happening Now: The 8th United Nations Youth Assembly in Kosovo!

Around 130 young leaders from communities across Kosovo and the Western Balkans have gathered in Istog/Istok to exchange ideas, build connections, and discuss challenges and opportunities to shape a better future.

Under this year’s theme, “Youth in the Field,” participants are diving into the realities shaping young people’s lives:
🔗rural–urban divides,
🔗participation in governance,
🔗economic opportunities,
🔗inclusion,
🔗mental health,
🔗youth leaders in their communities.

🗣️Opening the Assembly, SRSG Peter Due stated that “Young people are not merely beneficiaries of policies and programmes; they are partners, innovators, peacebuilders, entrepreneurs and agents of change.” Opening remarks were also delivered by Blerim Gashani Kosovo Acting Minister of Youth and Sports as well as the Head of OSCE Mission in Kosovo Ambassador Gerard McGurk.

🌍 UNMIK Welcomes Regional Delegates Ahead of the 8th UN Youth Assembly

Amid growing uncertainty and polarization, young people from across the region are choosing dialogue, cooperation and shared action. Ahead of the 8th UN Youth Assembly in Kosovo, delegates from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia visited UNMIK Headquarters today, where they met SRSG Peter Due and UNMIK leadership.

🗣️“You are essential partners whose voices can help bridge divides, challenge polarization and build trust,” SRSG Due told the young delegates.

👉Tomorrow, the delegates head to Istog/Istok to join young leaders from across Kosovo for two days of ideas, connection and youth-led action under the theme “Youth in the Field.”
