🏗️ VIHFA Teams Conduct Site Visit at Lovenlund Apartments Phase II

Earlier this week, our Compliance, Environmental and Planning & Construction Teams conducted an assessment, observation, and site walkthrough of the rehabilitation work underway at Lovenlund Apartments Phase II.

The ongoing rehabilitation includes window repairs, door replacements, and water heater replacements. During the walkthrough, the teams also focused on other key exterior areas including gutters, spouting, lights in common areas, and emergency lights.

The visit provided an opportunity for the teams to assess the quality and workmanship of the work being performed, review environmental conditions, and to ensure that the rehabilitation is progressing in accordance with applicable building codes, approved project requirements, and the project’s scope of work.

With a $25.9 million investment from VIHFA’s Disaster Recovery (DR) funding, the Lovenlund Phase II rehabilitation reflects our continued commitment to preserving and improving affordable housing and ensuring that residents benefit from safe, quality, and well-maintained homes.

🏘️ The Estate Donoe Redevelopment Project (Estate Tutu Phase I) will bring 84 new affordable rental homes to St. Thomas, providing quality housing options for low- and very low-income individuals and families.
Funded through $80.7 million in CDBG-DR construction funding from VIHFA, the project will include one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments, along with a community building featuring a multipurpose room, exercise facilities, and management offices.

Through continued investment in resilient communities and affordable housing, VIHFA is helping build a stronger future for the Virgin Islands. 🏠
