Fire Department Chaneyville Fire District #7 serves approximately 87 square miles of rural area outside of Zachary and Central, Louisiana.

Chaneyville holds a Class 5 ISO/PIAL rating. Chaneyville has fire suppression, vehicle extrication, hazmat and various other emergency response capabilities. Chaneyville is also equipped for swift water, rope rescue, man vs machine and can provide advanced life support for medical emergencies. Chaneyville operates out of two fire stations; St 41 located on Reames Rd and St 42 located on Highway 64

. Both stations are staffed around the clock by professional firefighters. Chaneyville Operates the following equipment:
2- 2016 & 2020 Ferrara Freightliner Engines with 1500gpm pump
capacity and 1250 gallons of water.
1- 2019 Ferrara Ford F550 mini pumper rescue squad.
1- 2020 Ford F250 utility unit.
1- 1994 Ferrara International Tanker with 1000gpm pump capacity and
1500 gallons of water.
1- 2012 Polaris Ranger 6x6 brush rig.
1- 2018 Wally swiftwater rescue boat. We at the Chaneyville Fire District #7 are dedicated to serving the community to the best of our abilities and strive to provide professional emergency response services for our citizens in and around our district.

We were very honored to crash Zachary Christian Academy’s end of the year water day celebration! Firefighter Hamilton was the life of the party, bringing non-stop giggles to the kiddos with an epic water battle and a fire truck exploration extravaganza. It was heartwarming to see the mutual delight shared between him and the kids. Thanks to ZCA for letting us join the splashy fun!

On Friday April 25th, 2025, Engine 413 and Squad 425 responded to the 21000 block of Plank Rd for a tree on a home with a possible gas leak. Chaneyville units arrived on scene to find a very large oak tree through the roof of a house. Although there was no active gas leak, the home was not safe for the residents to stay in.

We received a message this morning with the attached photo, thanking our firefighters for their compassion and assistance. Not only did they mitigate the situation, they helped calm the children of the homeowners.

We would like to thank Captain Terrell Stubbs and Firefighter Parker Tarleton for going above and beyond. This is what being a firefighter is all about. Captain Stubbs and Firefighter Tarleton are part time members of the Chaneyville Fire Dept and full time members of the St. George Fire Dept. We are proud to have them serving as true public servants. Great job!!

At approximately 8:00am, Chaneyville E423, E413, SQ425, Chief 402 responded to the 23000 block of Plank Rd for a working structure fire. Firefighters were met with heavy fire and smoke conditions on their arrival. Quick and aggressive firefighting had the fire under control quickly. No injuries and the cause is under investigation. Huge thank you to Zachary Fire Department E833 & Chief 802 , Central Fire Dept E343 & Chief 305, Pride Fire Dept E103 for the assistance. Great job by all involved! Please extend your prayers to the homeowners for their devastating loss.

Chaneyville E423, E413, S425, CH400 responded to the 16800 block of Blackwater Rd a little after 1 pm today for a reported structure fire. E423 arrived on scene to find a working fire in a single wide mobile home. The fire was brought under control with in minutes, and no injuries to report. We would like to thanks Zachary FD, Central FD, and Pride FD for the assistance. We would also like to give a huge shout out to two very alert neighbors who made sure the occupant that was home at the time was safe. They also used a garden hose to attempt to control the fire until fire department units arrived. Neighbors helping neighbors is a beautiful thing! Good job by all involved.
